Quick question which has probably been answered somewhere before:

In the early-ish game whilst playing as England/Great Britain, my infantry and cavalry sprites show as either the HYW pack, or later, the Evangelical pack (as per below):

This is also true for the cavalry sprites. However, the artillery sprites appear as the standard, non-dlc base units.
Is this simply because additional/DLC unit sprites weren't made for artillery?

N.B.I have all sprite packs (IIRC).
Some of the earlier packs weren't coded to have the unique sprites for artillery and cavalry, which is unfortunate because it looks odd. A mod could do it, as it's just as simple as adding the mesh to those models, but sadly I don't know how to mod :(

Ah. Fair enough.

I need to double-check that I have all sprite DLCs enabled (I'm 99% sure that I have), but when I was playing last night, I noticed that the British sprites weren't as colourful as I remembered. The sprite below has no blue on it whatsoever. The blue bits show as grey for me, and I'm sure a number of other nations' sprites looked extremely grey and not quite right.

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

I've tried faffing with turning the various sprite DLCs off/on (and in various combinations), but this is continually causing the sprites to be 'grey-er'.

Is this a known issue?

Any idea if/when the Evangelical Majors unit pack will be released? We know they have them since they accidentally released the Catholic majors when they meant to release the Evangelical pack.

They haven't said anything on it. The renders look quite nice though

I hope we will see these swedish soldiers in the game soon. :) Unless you alredy planned to make future sprite packs mods only of course. I would happily rather pay and support Paradox though.

The new Evangelical Units Swedish and Prussian units look AWESOME! Super excited!

Also, GM_Kaiser has created some really spot on unit models to replace those in the Polish Roster!

Tier 3 Infantry (based on the images in this very thread!)

Here are depictions of Saxon-Style Polish Infantry of the time-period (1700-1735)

The second "Alternative" Design is really on-point, GM_Kaiser they looks awesome

And here are GM_Kaiser's "Tier 4" Polish Units

Both of these versions looks a lot better than the originals (historically accurate navy uniform is key) but the headdresses are still not the iconic "Polish Napoleonic Shako", Alternative 1 is the Lithuanian headdress, whilst Alternative 2 is certainly an improvement.

Below are images of the iconic Polish Uniforms of the day

These images below represent the iconic look of the Polish Infantry of the time-period, the Polish Napoleonic Legions in their dark navy uniforms.

If Paradox could fix the Polish Tier 3 & Tier 4 before they "re-release" the catholic Majors, that'd be amazing. GM_Kaiser's work is an amazing step by the community, if Paradox would be so kind as to take note and implement these changes that'd be incredible.

Best,
Everto

I feel like this is a stupid question but I'm asking it anyway. All the DLC sprites look great. I've bought a few of them (I buy mechanical DLCs as soon as they're released, I but graphical DLCs at random intervals). Are these sprites all coded to only be used by the tag they're assigned to, or can similar countries use them in different colours? I mean, do English rebels, or Welsh soldiers get to use the cool English sprites at all? If not, it basically means that you have to play as a country or constantly fight against it as to see the sprites often enough to warrant the cost.

Some are country specific; others are specific to certain cultures. Don't think rebels have any, but not sure.

They do. When I played as Granada -> Andalusia, Castillian separatists used Spanish models.

Although one question - if I want to add some country's sprites to a nation from a mod (Crimean units for Tatarstan in Basic Mods - Formable Nations, to be precise), what should I do? I have 0 experience with modding EU4.

I believe rebels use them for their respecitve culture/tag since 1.16

An interesting and visually cool mod, would it be possible to flip the swords so the point faces down? The current version looks odd
I know, but I can't do anything to this, at least now, due to animation issue.

And here are the Crusaders with sword and shield!
