About the adjacency stuff... Havard is right, the info is stored in adjacent.tbl. It's not that difficult to modify it, someone just needs to write a program that writes the correct info in the correct file format, which is not really complicated.

About this being a "project"... Well, I never felt like I started a project; I was just curious about the TBL files and started looking into it. After that, the next logical step (for me) was to share that info with the community.
It has indeed been a pity that I haven't been able to hack a bit further, but since my GF left me I've refound the joys of a social life (yes, I know, unforgivable). But maybe I'll get tired of that soon and I will return to the one true faith. :)

My advice is to do what I did: run up your credit card bills and consistently have "too much" fun having a social life and soon enough your mounting, unpayable debt will convince you to stay in and mod EU2 more in order to save money. :D

I have written such program several weeks ago.... I have used your information Inferis.... Thaks a lot. Thats really cool to make connections...

And I what to and in description of file... You have forgot to tell that all provinces in second offset should be written in ascending order (like province 1, 4, 7, 9)....

That's true... I'll add the information to my website. Thanks to mention it.

One more clarification about "Adjacent.tbl" linked provinces should be not only in ascending order but rivers (and may be all water) should have separate ascending order after land.... Or link will not work...

THANKS!!! to Tanone greatly for this tool I've needed for soooooo long, well since August! Now i can get my MDS links correct now :D. And also thanks to Havard for hosting it :)

Has there been any more progress on this front? Im really hoping that the light map files get decoded soon so we can make completely custom maps :)

I suspect changing these files will not change the map - the map itself is probably hardcoded (by that I mean the map that you see.) What changing these files will probably do is allow you to change where you can click to get a province, to change what provinces are adjacent to each other, where provinces are seperated by rivers.

For example, you should be able to remove the connection between Ionia and Smyrna if you think this is a bad idea...
