Before the decade is out we shall but a EU2 man in Nebraska.... (rip off of JFK) ...
Perhaps we should start a new church, the Church of Inferism, on these forums... or perhaps the Church of Inferiorism, to show some humble humility towards the Great One.

Yeah I got some of my friends making the foundation for a temple already... you make the map editable.... I make they Great Pyrimads look like a joke...

That's all for now... I don't know what to do more with this data, because the id values in the lower chunks are really weird: as you can see in the image, there are some sort of rectangular divisions in the map, and the id's differ even for the same province in different divisions.

Bizar. :)

Inferis.

Truly bizar. Maybe even bizzaro. Trying to think of why this might be the case. At first I thought it might have something to do with the continental divisions (which the game does keep track of for Whiteman, and other things), but it makes no sense for those to be in this file and the rectangle boundaries don't match continental ones anyway.

Maybe it has something to do with breaking down the map into parts for purposes of drawing the graphics? I know some other games do this, so that the software is only updating what is actually in the part of the map you are looking at. In fact, these same games sometimes have glitches when you see things outside of the region of the map the software "thinks" you are looking at. Dunno.

In any case, I can't see from looking at the image how they could have anything to do with the province divisions or other in-game map characteristics, but I could of course be spectacularly wrong there.

:D

As always, thanks for the great work and let us know about any new discoveries.

Whoa... I haven't checked this thread in a while. Inferis, you deserve more than just credit. Someone here should sacrifice a virgin, for good measure.

You know, 'cause we don't want the gods to be angry that he's discovering their secrets.

Keep up the great work, you're really on to something.
But really, this thread should have a warning label on it. I tried to follow what you're talking about, and now my brain hurts. :(

I work is really appreciated, that's really a great work you're on.

A question:
Would it be "easy" (compared to redraw the map) to change border provinces. Let's say between Isle Royal and the edge province of Nova Scotia (I want to make it possible to cross the sea). Isn't this stored in the map files?

Good luck with the map and my prayer is with you.

I found something,

You know, Bermuda? I found an island right off Bermuda but it is not usable. So, I am wondering if that is the dummy coast in province.csv.

That island is where blackbeard buried his treasure. :D

Nope, that's only the coordinates for the small rocks in the water. The program isn't smart enough to calculate a new route with a couple of cliffs in the water. Then perhaps it is adjectant.tbl that is used for that.

Yes.
