Hi,

As I haven't kept up with this thread the whole time, I just put the following question hoping someone can answer:

Is it possible to extract a "wireframe picture" of the map ? Just the borders of the provinces in black color and nothing else.

thanks

Madrick

This error happens when the compressor detects a river/border, but can't find an adjacency value for it to encode it in the block. I spent a lot of time trying to fix this in the beginning (it happened quite frequently).

It probably is an inaccuracy in the shrinking process.

Could you send me the EU2MAP file so I could test it?
will do but Ill do it on monday, dont have it on this computer

could this also have to do with the fact I used a size 8 brush to do my borders

I can't change it. EU2 expects the file to be in a certain format and there's nothing I can do about it.
How about this
Can you make optional option for Mimage command maybe like mimage /e /R12 that will extract image from region 12 (include every block overlaps) of idgrid so we can see what ids on that region. I think that will help if ids overlimit we can consider for modified ids map base on stray ids that image have. That very helpfull for redrawing ids layer and make sure every region have max 256 provinces.

So I cant make a HoI map using the tool?

I obviously look to use the HoI map files and change those!

No, you can't.
Not at the moment at least... :)

I have a question. How do I fix ID errors, that show up when running mimage.exe /C map.psd?

You open your .psd and then find it and destroy it by changing it to the right color.

Thx. Can I use the mcolor program to do it too?

cool-toxic said:
no not realy it is Adope photoshop or whatever you have, you use to destroy the color errors.

So the problem is that the game cannot recognize certain colors?

well yes it can be in a border like when red meets green.

So it will also display an error if colors between layers are incompatible?

How am I ever going to be able to check if all pixels are not incompatible? It will take forever

If you do a test run first it will show the RGB values and locations of any rogue pixels

Does anybody know anything about Inferis' progress with the HOI2-Magellan project? I have been trying to use his Magellan suite on HOI2 but the image file it generates is the one from EU2, the same thing goes for the province file! I find this really weird

There's nothing planned for HOI2 at the moment.

I'm thinking about upgrading my libraries to .Net 2.0, which comes out of beta on Nov 7th, which has better support for the generic map editing I want to do to support the other P'dox map formats.

I'll keep you guys posted of any upgrades or enhancements, of course. :)
