I used the converter after a while and it seems that it somehow turns a nation that has a city as capital into a republic. Which is a bit of an issue, because why wouldn't you turn your capital into a city?
Moving the Capital before the game ends seems to solve it, but it is a weird thing..
Also, sometimes the government system changes when you create a custom ruler, but that could be CK3 limitations.

I uphold that feudal rulers not being allowed to hold cities is plain dumb. This needs to be fixed by the game devs, not the converter.

here it is!
Thanks! It's exactly the same as the one I melted, so the problem is not where I thought it was. Please download release 2.9.0, it may fix your issue.

I had a weird issue, I can no longer convert any Imperator Invictus save.
I am certain I did so before, but now I always get the same error:

[ERROR] System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key '0' was not present in the dictionary.

I tried a conversion with a brand new and unstarted game and that one works.

Should I send you the full log.txt?

Yes, and the save too, please.

I have made two,
the actual savegame I wanted to convert (A New World) and another one I used for testing purposes (A new Rome)

I tested the second one, because I heavily edited the New World and it could have been myself that broke that one.

Had to recreate them, because I deleted them through updating, sorry.

Also, I do play in english.

If anyone has having the same problem, the temporary solution is to remove or comment out all links in ImperatorToCK3/configurables/governorMappings.txt. I'm working on a regular fix.
Hey there! I tried removing all the links in governorMappings, but I'm still having a trouble with any multi-regional realm getting split into kingdoms or duchies along regional lines.

Thanks for the report, I think I know the cause. Will fix in next release.
You no longer need to remove the mappings, though, that was a temporary workaround for a bug.

One of the team members for the Paradox Game Converters is collecting translations that we can use across all converters. He could use help gathering the words. Please take a look and fill in words from languages you know well.

  • Don't worry about "classes"
  • Do not write country articles
  • If you are working on French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese, you should use the feminine singular adjective
  • If you are working on Polish or Russian, you should use the root of the adjective (so "итальянский" gets shortened to "итальянск")
  • If you are working on German, have the adjectives be in a form to which we can add adjectival endings (Deutsch --> das deutsche Krieg; but not Han --> das hane(?) Krieg)
  • When choosing adjectives, choose the form that would sound more plausible to end up in a history book when talking about a war or a treaty

What does this do, seeing as there are no Christian denominations in Imperator?
Any mod that adds Christianity to Imperator would then convert Christian provinces to either Orthodox, Catholic, Coptic, Nestorian, Apostolic or Insular in CK3, mostly depending on the region of the map.

What is the earliest start date ck3 can go? I attempted to start at 1 ce and all the converted nation rulers were babies.
CK3 doesn't support BC dates, so all characters born before 1 AD have their dates changed.
So, while it's currently possible to convert in 1 AD, the minimum recommended is converting around 100 AD to mostly avoid this problem. Best is 150 AD or later.
