Wardens,

We hope that you are enjoying the new expansion Island Bound!
To keep track of all bugs and issues you are reporting, we created this list to bring back to the team. If you have experienced a bug not already in this list, please let us know in this thread.

Remember to include if you are using mods (and if you do, try to disable them - as sometimes they cause issues) and how to reproduce the bug you are experiencing. Being able to recreate a bug is the first step in understanding what is wrong and how it could be fixed! :)

> Checkpoints are cancelling tasks when prisoners are walking close.

This also affects released prisoners. I have a constant buildup of stuck released prisoners under my entrance checkpoint and need to instruct a manual search for them to actually being able to leave.
Staff (non-guard) also seems to get reset somehow, I have a lot of tired staff members who are stuck at the same spot. I can't find any fix for them other than firing and rehiring.

With the hotfix installed and Island Bound owned.

visitors do not arrive at my prison although all ports and the heliport are allowed to bring visitors and are linked to a drop off area, also change the visiting room but still

Staff bring meals to eat on the ferry and throw it overboard with no regard at all for aquatic life. Food trays and other items stay indefinitely as they do not despawn or get picked up.

(Edited to correct a couple of misconceptions I had about bridges) Issues still noticed after installing today's (02nd July) update for Windows ('The Island' DLC NOT installed):

  • 'Clothing' need rises much more rapidly as compared to before. At any given time at least 2/3rds of my 200-person prison is 'desperate' about this issue, despite having multiple laundries with proper logistics, enough janitors, and prisoners hired to work in all laundries too. Before today's update clothing need was much lower with no other changes made since. Even when fresh clothing is delivered to prisoners' cells, they often neglect it and have to be given extra hours of lockdown in cells to be forced to satisfy the need.
  • Deliveries for multiple forestries are inefficient, multiple trucks arrive with each truck delivering trees for one forestry at a time, even if only a single tree is to be delivered per forestry.
  • Footbridges cannot be built over doors, and cannot start or end at the tile right next to the road. Both of these things were possible before.
  • Footbridges cannot be built next to each other, there needs to be a gap of 1 square vertically between each of them. In face footbridges now cannot be built directly next to any objects, there needs to be a gap of at least 1 square in every direction around them. This was not the case before.
  • Cooks do not cook meals in Minimum security kitchen, all the ingredients are present in refrigerators but cooks only use one or two cookers and never deliver the couple of meals cooked to serving tables.
  • Janitors still don't clean as thoroughly as they did before 'The Rock' update.
  • Prisoner 'sleep' need is extremely low, and all prisoners sleep throughout sleep time. Not a single prisoner is awake, even if they have no need for sleep.
  • Workmen do not collect garbage efficiently. They wait until the garbage truck arrives and only then begin collecting garbage from various parts of the prison and bringing it to the truck. Whereas they ought to collect it before and store it in the designated 'Garbage' room.

I experienced the following problems without any mods and a regular plot after the Island Bound DLC + current hotfixes:

- Sinks randomly show "working position can't be reached" (even in prisons that worked before) without any obvious reason. Sometimes it resets after a while and other sinks than get this notification, could not see any reason or pattern
- Some staff members just stand around when tired and don't move anymore, even though staff rooms are available. If u send them to a staff room manually they work correctly again afterwards. However this results in large parts of your stuff being unproductive and clothes, food and other needs stacking up (especially annoying in prisons that worked fine before and now your inmates starve and can't fullfill their needs anymore)
- also prison labor does seem to be buggy, since no one ever delivers any laundry even though I have >20 prisoners working in laundry and two laundrys accessible

Bug: The new 'Multiple security zones in one room' does not work properly for some rooms. This at least includes the Holding Cell and/or Reception w.r.t. new prisoner arrivals.

Steps to reproduce: Build a reception and holding cell. Make sure both qualify as a room. Zone the holding cell to 'everything but protected custody (In my prison, I had a separate second holding cell for them). Build a few cells of each type. Load up your prison with more prisoners than it can handle.

Example: Build 1 protective custody cell and 5 of each other type. Invite 15 prisoners of each type. Expected: There are 40 prisoners ((15 - 5) * 4) in the holding cell. Result? 0 (zero) of them.

While a holding cell for a single sec level does accept new prisoners, one for multiple does not.

Found out about that after guards left my prisoners to die out in the freezing cold.

Playing Multiplayer and are experiencing the following issues for connecting clients (not the server):
- Sinks always have the warning ”Workposition cannot be reached”
- Grants do not show fulfilled parts correctly
- Food on trays are not visible

Issues for all players:
- If one player is doing a drag-action with for example a wall, this gets reset each time any other user places any object at the same time
- Sometimes items get wrongly placed or cloned itself and replaced another players selected object, resulting in double-purchasing

I experienced the following bug in version the__rock__1.02 (Jul 1 2020) | r3593: Items (like mail satchels and food trays) and dead/handcuffed prisoners can't be moved when they're on a footbridge. (Handcuffed prisoners will starve to death)

I have a game-breaking interaction between two bugs on the_rock_1.02.

For one, cooks seem to have this weird behavior where they will cook small batches of 1-2 meals and then send them to the canteen, using up a spot on your serving tables on only those 1-2 (they don't get filled up to 10, they stay until all meals run out and the spot is open again). Because of this once your spots are all filled up the kitchen will stop making meals and as a result the kitchen will practically never make enough meals to feed all prisoners unless you have an overkill amount of serving tables. I presume this is what the "Kitchens are now severely under-producing enough meals" issue is.

What this causes then the second issue: Once eating time comes up prisoners will grab meals and as spots open up in serving tables cooks will begin to cook new meals to finally meet demand. However, the cooks never end up catching up to the demand because meal time (if 2 hours or shorter, at least with 300 prisoners) will end before they can send them out. This causes some meals to remain on the cookers after meal time since the cooks didn't have the time. The existence of these meals already cooking (even if it's 1 or 2) will cause the cooks to believe they're already cooking next meal time so they will no longer cook any more meals, not a single one, until those meals are reset.

The way to fix this is to dump (to remove) or search (to reset - after the search the meals will be taken to the canteen) every cooking meal after mealtime. This can either be done manually or by shaking down the kitchen after every meal time.

From what I'm seeing the clone room tool is double charging. I am initially charged an amount for "CloneRoom." The CloneRoom fee is the cost of materials + objects. Then I am charged for materials and objects for the same amount total previously charged for "CloneRoom" when those materials/objects arrive.

I also found that if you have the materials and objects needed for room construction in your prison's storage, I am not charged any cloneroom fee or delivery fee. BUT, I still get random charges for "concrete" despite not needing additional concrete.

The extra concrete charges are small so I could live with them but the clone tool being broken makes the game incredibly tedious since my choices are to either manually place every object or be double charged for the total cost of construction.

Not enough staff meals are being delivered. It worked just fine for a long time, but now that I have a sizeable amount of staff of several hundred, I'm only getting 2 stacks of staff meals delivered at a time with only 1 meal in each stack.

Ok, to expand upon this. Actually nothing except food is being delivered anymore. No more uniforms. No more metal plates. I just get 1 or 2 stacks with just 1 item per stack.
