To keep track of all bugs and issues you are reporting, we created this list to bring back to the team. If you have experienced a bug not already in this list, please let us know in this thread.

Remember to include if you are using mods (and if you do, try to disable them - as sometimes they cause issues) and how to reproduce the bug you are experiencing. Being able to recreate a bug is the first step in understanding what is wrong and how it could be fixed! :)

  • Tyre apparatus can no longer be rotated.
  • Player (Warden) can not use ferries in Warden Mode.

Sorry to hear that the game is crashing for you! We would appreciate it if you could upload your crash log so we can take a closer look at what can be causing the game to crash!

You can find the files we looking for at this positions:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect -> There is a file called "debug.txt"
and
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Prison Architect -> there are crash dump files in this format: "Crash_2020_7_8_15_55_17.dmp"

I've attached the debug but I don't seem to have any crash files, I should have specified that the crashes come from the program not responding so it may not create dump files from them?

Workers do not load items onto delivery trucks as efficiently as they unload items from delivery trucks.

When a delivery truck brings new supplies, workers unload it very quickly, with 5-6 workers simultaneously unloading packages from a single truck. However, when workers have to load exports or garbage onto the truck, they do it only 1 or 2 at a time, even if there are plenty of workers free nearby. Workers should load items just the way they unload them, with 5-6 of them loading items all together, instead of 1 at a time with the next one loading items only after the previous worker has finished loading his item. This slow speed causes huge pileups of trucks on the road, specially now that construction materials no longer auto-spawn either. Please make worker operations more efficient or compensate by allowing some items to auto-spawn like they used before 'The Rock' update.
 
Trees change position overtime/on save reloads (slightly move to the left or top left) to the point they go above roads and walls. Not using any mods.

@Fifnaril Is a fix incoming for the way objects render? It is a very annoying visual bug that has been ingame for 5 months. Objects appear below other objects when they should appear above, NPCs render under them, shotguns and tazers are invisible etc.

Also my warden mode bugs went ignored :(
 
On a non-island map with generated lakes, when expanding a map in the direction a boat dock points, I get a gash of water across the map rather than a normally-generated lake spanning the area boats traverse.

In this example, I expanded to the south, with the fence being as far south as possible before expansion:

I was able to recreate this easily by generating a new map with lakes to the edge, placing a boat dock, and with unlimited funds and all bureaucracy unlocked, hiring an accountant and expanding in the direction of the dock:

I seem to have received a few errors:
1)the Prisoners fall through the wall
2)the security guard got stuck in the kitchen for no Reason
3) my artificial intelligence is buggy and when he try to eat it gets up and sits down again
4)For some reason, you can't delete the area, in discord I was advised to move a gang member, because they thought that because of the gang membership I can't edit his camera partially solved. this guy is a gang member, but I can't move him, as I was advised to remove the area and build in it
5) Guards do not lead prisoners to solitary cells - prisoners with handcuffs just sit in place and guards carry them food all the time.
6) Several other pieces

I also attach a file with a description of the problems and a save file so that everyone can check it out for themselves.

It is strange that in the same cell of two people, one of which there should not be, and here's the weird part: carefully watching everything going on, I canceled the patrol who visited solitary confinement, which also ran along the whole prison, so the guards are there by accident almost could not go, and saw the guard brought in a solitary cell, which was not busy, food, and food is gone - looks like one of the prisoners somehow got out of this cell and the game thinks he's there but she thinks that he's a half, because this prisoner is not counted as serving his sentence, and he does not make room for others. I play in prison director mode (warden mode, not creative mode) and here you can push each other, you can't just pass through each other, so maybe the guard pushed the prisoner out of the punishment cell or something else and that's how everything turns out badly

In escape mode there are some bugs as well.
Rep points won't increase when damaging or killing people.
This makes it hard to know if they are after you or not because you don't gain points so you only know at the last second when you get the cuffs on.
This is for the steam version on a windows 10 (64bit) OS by the way.

I also noticed in the regular game mode workmen some times bring resources to the top left corner of the map they travel all that way to place it down only to have it picked up soon after and moved to where its needed. Also on the steam version and same pc.

I am glad I could help.

I noticed that there may another issue in escape mode where the fog of war takes over the prisoner zone this has happened recently on a few saves all npc's vanish and the screen becomes as if its not in view, however you can still roughly navigate the map if you focus on the center of the screen I think it may only happen if you have been wanted for a long period of time as this seems to be the case when it dose happen as I have been taking out guards and by standards for a while in a large prison then work my way to the front gate, it seems to not be specific to the map which could be a bug. I don't have any mods installed I don't normally use mods with PA, so I know its that that for sure.

Based on my knowledge of the shaders (the FOW is done via shader) I don't believe prisoners are designated a view cone. I could probably wip up a temporary fix for this if ya'll want.

I'll take that like as a yes.

I can intercept all uniform variables from the CPU and see which I can use to fix FOW... and actually I found a bug in it yesterday but I don't think it has to do with this problem in particular.

I do know off hand I can get the mouse cursor position and use it to cut through fog of war, and may be able to use that, but I'll explore other options that would work better before I resort to that.

I have plans to fix the bug I found in my graphics core rewrite, but it is farther down the list... I might have to bring it toward the top.

The graphics core rewrite is on the workshop " Lenticular Float32 1.2 Beta " but when I upload the FOW fix for escape mode, I'll make it available separate and when LF32 gets its update include the general FOW bug fix, and then I'll include the general FOW bug fix in the separate escape mode FOW fix. I will not however include the FOW escape mode fix in LF32 due to it's (work around) ish nature....

blah blah, I'll make something and it'll work out lol :)
 
Oh shoot, I forgot I said I'd do this, got caught up on the main project.

I'll try and have something whipped up before the end of the weekend in not by later tonight my time.
I'll post a link to it in the workshop once complete.
 
hey devs staff classrooms dont work if u have class rooms for the prisoners like it breaks the the slot and says its out of the regeime time slot and im on the steam version with all up to date dlcs
