Actually I had no choice, you are aware that the AI forces peaces when your land is completely taken right? And that plus the fact that Germany had claims on everything but Rostock meant that you were not going to get anything. The only way you could have gotten peace was to pause the game and offer and have me accept before the AI could "offer", but you didn't do that so lost almost everything...
 
Additionally, why do you think I gave up fighting less than 2 months into the war? I saw that coming the moment Germany joined the war...

EDIT: Oh I definately will be there this week... I usually don't miss sessions unless its due to not having internet for 4 months or so :D

Weekly Game Update


We played at Slow to Below Normal for most of the game with 7 players. We played from July 18 1160 to October 17 1170.

The players this session:
  • KoM - King of Denmark
  • Traveler - King of Naples
  • Prime - Duke of Flanders
  • Dominus - Duke of Brandenburg
  • Duuk - Duke of Bavaria
  • Blackeye - King of Byzantium
  • Sterk - King of Poland

We had 8 game stops. I’ll list the causes for each stop:
  • Host CTD, not sure why
  • Host CTD, again, this time while trying to determine who to make as Bishop of a Bishopric
  • Stopped to p/u Duuk
  • Stopped to p/u Sterk
  • Kom and Prime crashed, we had game at Normal Speed
  • Stopped to change leader of Poland for Sterk after seriously buggy event
  • Stopped for Sterk when he couldn’t use in-game chat
  • Prime crashed after annexing Bishopric of Liege

Very gloomy game for your’s truly. I was at war for the entire game, yes folks that’s ten years of conflict. Well lets hope some of the players post some AAR’s so you can get an idea of what’s going on in the game, I’ll try and do the same.

Fear not, Lotus, the AI is doing better than you were, anyway. :D It's conquered Egypt and looks like a serious rival to Blackeye's Byzantium.
 
KoM, get to AAR writing in that scismatic thread you got going.. I need to read more, the inquisition needs more evidence.. Great Game indeed, blasphemer!!! :eek:
 
Calmly, Dom. It takes time to write a good saga. The war with Germany will have to be allowed to mature so I can put them in the proper terse form.

Duuk, could you turn that comment in the AAR thread into an AAR. Comments are ment for this thread. You wrote such an awsome AAR before and you haven't graced us since.

I'd be interested in playing, fair warning though I'm a newbie who's only played a couple single player games, as a matter of fact this is even my first paradox game (I loved it so much I recently got EU_2 and HOI_2 and will probably get victoria as well).

The only problem is that 11 EST is is a little ealy for me, the earliest I could probably make it is 12 or 1 pm EST on most sunday's. I might stop in late tomorrow just to see if there's any other stragglers who want to play a late game.

I don't mind playing as a duke or count either.
 
Well, I will need a sub.. Gotta work tomorrow unfortunately, tons and tons of stuff to do (deadline time and those who needed to get me stuff have failed miserably which only means one thing, I'm screwed)...

If you want to join, get ICQ and use the numbers in the thread starter to contact us. During the game we often have to restart for various reasons. The players check their ICQ at these times or sometimes leave their ICQ up and can listen out for straglers. Well hope to see you there.

Sorry to hear you wont be making it, but I understand your lively hood comes first. Because, without that cash flow you wouldn't have access to the net and without the net you wouldn't be able to play. So do your duty and I look forward to having you back. In the mean time you can post another cool AAR. I didn't read it till just recently and finally understand what spiders you ewre talking about last session.

Weekly Game Update

The players this session:
  • KoM - King of Denmark
  • Traveler - King of Naples
  • Prime - Duke of Flanders
  • Dominus - King of England
  • Duuk - Duke of Bavaria
  • Blackeye - King of Byzantium
  • Sterk - King of Poland

We had 3 game stops. I’ll list the causes for each stop:
  • Blackeye, Prime CTD, don’t know why.
  • KoM CTD, don’t know why.
  • Dom, Blackeye, Sterk, KoM CTD, don’t know why.

Had a hard time getting started, took us 45 minutes to get game going. We covered a lot of time due to running at a higher speed for most of the game, but believe that’s what caused most of the crashes. Hope to see some more AAR’s.

I say, Trav, do you mind getting your own title right? It's Naples. Not Napals. You had this problem with Sardinia-Piedmont, too; perhaps you should not play Italian nations, if you can't spell them?

Also, King of Denmark is correct for this session, but please list me as King of Norway from now on, since I've recovered the old Ynglinga domains.
 
I really do plan on writing a massive AAR, but I've just been forced to put it off again... I'm rolling out a new program today and my boss is making allusions to what needs to get done tomorrow... I swear, you'll eventually have your AAR... :p
 
Okey....I'm back now from my away-period, and can play on now. I am dreading what have happened with Castille....darn Salic Gavilkind, darn Feudal law event and darn AI picking the worst option.

Oh well...Sterk will no longer fear "Iberia", I will be picking up the pieces for some time to come.

Yes, we are playing today, but unfortunately I'm going to miss about the first hour of today's session. Please leave someone up on ICQ (preferably Lurken, KOM, or Prime) in case I can't join and type.
