Ok i just downloaded ICQ and tried to add the ICQ-numbers posted. I have ICQ 237384200 . I would love to join.

Meet in Vnet, I think it's fine if you would join.

I have a suspicion I did miss the start again... Did the game start at 19 local time (I seem to remember) or at 18? Oh dang :(

I suggest you show an hour earlier next time, then.

On another subject : Look, people, if oyu're going to play CK, please play. Have the TV on in the background, or whatever, if you must. But going afk for three-quarters of an hour, leaving the rest of us waiting when we crash, is really not on. I propose we make it a rule that if oyu are afk when the game crashes, the rest go on without you.

Weekly Game Update

We played at Below Normal for most of the game with 5 players. We played from April 19 1083 to January 1 1094. We missed a few players, but picked up a new one. Welcome Capitan.

The players this session:
  • KoM - King of Norway
  • Sterkarm - King of Poland
  • Lurken - King of Castille
  • Traveler - Duke of Apulia
  • Capitan - King of Hungary

Quite a few crashes again. The last one, I’m pretty sure had something to do with my portrait as it didn’t change once my Duke came of age. Lots of crusading, much to my dismay. I look forward to the AAR’s and Diplomacy.

Traveler

Well thank you for taking me on. It was certainly interesting but it ended quite badly for my hungary. That general revolt against my oh so kind rule was/is a nightmare. I am not sure I will be able to recover for a long time since I am out of troops and have like -1500 gold. Hopefully that dissenter Slovakia will inherit my lands I can continue as him or something since he is really the next in line for the empire, that would solve a lot of problems :)

Looking forward til next sunday and I hope I will see a lot more of the players then :)

Did you by any chance change your inheritance law? That is the only thing I can think of to produce such an amazingly comprehensive revolt.

Yeah, especially if Geza was next in line under the former laws.

As for me being AFK (and you can say who it was btw), it was only because of Mother's Day. I had to go AFK to get stuff ready, etc. Was a one-time thing, shouldn't usually be a problem.

I will check into it during the week. Maybe I did some misstake, since it I am a real noob for CK I might have done something that provoked it but I thought I was monitoring their happiness quite well. If I can ride this storm out I will have learned a lesson.

How will it work out with the inheritance if Slovakia is one empire and I one. When my king dies the duke of slovakia will inherit him. So will the new empire be Slovakia and will I be able to continue? It is my lineage after all :)

Sterk, I was actually thinking more of Kle, who just disappeared entirely; but it seems to be a good general rule. Leaving people waiting for 45 minutes is just a little rude. If you can't play any more that day, fine, but at least have the courtesy to tell us.

Capitan, I think - though I am not certain - that if Slovenia's Duke is of your family, and is also your heir, your dynasty will carry on without a hitch. If he is not of your dynasty, but is your heir, then you've lost. :) Don't worry, though, I don't think anyone will object to you taking over the Slovenian family and playing on as them.

You will be able to continue, as Geza (duke of Slovakia) is the brother(?) of Salamon (King of Hungary). Geza will be the new King of Hungary, as a player's title never changes (except when changing tiers). And, if he wasn't, your game wouldn't be over anyway, as long as you had a successor of your dynasty who holds land. You would merely play as the first heir of your dynasty in your succession line.

After 2 years of sucking up dog and cats hairs my pc's powersupply had finally given out. I couldn't find a compatible one on my PC graveyard, so I had to wait till monday morning to get one.

I trust beautifull Vlaanderen is still like I left her.

Unfortunately not. The AI apparently applied to be accepted into the French King's good graces again; Flanders is once more a part of France. Still, no worries, right?

We could edit out the vassalship rather easily though.

I would prefer not to. Editing should be kept to an absolute minimum; it is only to be used against actual bugs. The AI being stupid while you are away is not a bug.

By the way, Trav, maybe you could do some manual saves every fifth month, or whatever, so we don't lose so much time when you crash?

Speaking of bugs, this might be fixed since I annexed Opole (I believe), but when Opole declared independence, so did Lettigallians (this might have been after 1090 the first time). I checked why Lettigallians had also gone independent and apparently it was a vassal of the Countess of Opole. Weird. I annexed Opole, forgot to check Lettigallians liege, just that it was in my realm... and it was.

Right, that is indeed a bug, I believe MrT said it was a high priority to fix, even. So we should edit back Lettigallians as your vassal, or the vassal of whatever the local Duchy is, then?

Well, first it should be checked who the liege of Lettigallians is.

If the truth were told, I must say I do not remember which nation you played, though I have a vague recollection of you from TOW I. Austria? USA? Anyway, why not join us this Sunday as, say, Croatia, or maybe a German Duchy, and help us hold back the rapacious Polish hordes?

Hey Thir - I am more of a lurker then a poster, but I remember you. You are the guncrazy American, who played Austria and loves Rome: Total War :D (which I just reinstalled and is a hell of a game!)
