I started new game as North in Dance of Dragons (or what's the 8129 one called) bookmark. I appear to be unable to assign my king to my doomstack. He isn't defending anything, he's 'reigning in winterfell' entire time. I have enough CA to assign leaders. Any leads on what can be happening?

Edit: Same appears for AI, as all Paramounts are just reigning in their castles.

Edit2: Reloaded. Some AI Paramounts actually lead troops now, but I still can not.

@Velg - What does your army mainly consist of? I find that I can't assign my player character if I have a load of mercenary units making the basis of the army, but I gather that's a CK2 feature in general. I'm not sure if that's the problem you were indicating...
 
I know of this problem. But it is not of this sort.

I just played base Lord Paramount of the North - and joined Rhaenyra on her way against Iron Throne, as this -25 malus ('desires the North') on King of Iron Throne was... unsettling ;) Then I just raised my levies and tried to assign my leader to one of them. Every other guy I could, but not my leader. At first I assumed it was issue with defending something - but then I checked he was just reigning in Winterfell.

Well, I don't understand it either.

Could you try to replicate it though? Start "Dance of Dragons" bookmark, check North, join rebel war when the message pops up - and then try to assign your leader to one of your armies? And see if you can't too? I wonder if it's just error in my game.

Edit: and I checked that when I raise armies BEFORE joining Rhaenyra, I can assign my ruler to armies freely. And that is even more strange :)
 
As an ASOIAF reader and a casual CKII player: your mod is awesome

Nothing original in the path I've decided to take: I started as Rob the Young Wolf and finaly avenged the Starks by destroying House Lannister, beheading all 3 Tywin's childrens and Joffrey gnark gnark gnark. Anyway, it has been a long time since I'm King in the North but other Houses has been at a permanent state of war for the Iron Throne. As soon as one win, a war starts for another has a claim. They are now warmongering for a bastard women from the Vale as the legitimate Queen... Will it eventualy end ?
 
I'm having a strange bug, In the ACoK scenario, as Stannis:
I win the war against Joffrey, and the game suddendly finishes because I've become a theocracy. In the "warnings" interface I can see I've usurped the Most Devout title. How's that possible? Can anyone else confirm it?

Not as long as Danaerys can't come over from Essos ;)

Just checked and yeah, I see what you mean now. I also have this problem. And thinking back now, I have had it a few times in the past too with different circumstances.
 
When characters go on quests to gain a Valyrian sword, they get bugged. My character was able to acquire the sword, but he forever after had the trait 'On a quest overseas', which presents many issues.

delete 00_factions.txt, easiest way to put a damper on the constant war
 
I added in the temple buildings from Vanilla into the game and remove schools sense their is no tech growth. If anyone wants to use it in their game for fun. Just copy and paste it into the buildings folder.

got to say i love in this mod how hard it is to hold the iron throne especially in the blackyfyre scenerios. i ussaully start as a minor hous and once either the targs or blackfyres are kicked off the throne it is just like the dogs were let out and its crazy kings rise from the most unexpected houses and fall ussaully in the process nearly destroying their house. hell iv taken the throne quite a few times and lost it sometimes just being a minor lord or paramouint after losing the throne is quite enjoyable and relaxing not needing to deal with constant rebellions and short lived leaders! great mod guys as a long time fan of the books i love being able to role play my own house its great. Also the dragon fighting events are awsome i killed a blackfyre king who was riding a dragon and after the cool event decided to name my sword kingmaker and quickly won the war to put my friend on the throne. a shame ck2 multiplayer aint better but great mods guys!

i dont know how u guys can do this but allowing us to choose who becomes leader of the kingsguard would be cool or if u are able to allow us to pick a member from are dynasty( i know u can sometimes do this but give like a actually pick from dynasty option) cool stuff guys!
