And did the Iron Bank meddling get turned up? Because it seems to be happening all the time, which can make for some !!fun!! (Edmure pressing a claim on the kingdom of the north) but also becomes ridiculous (toppling the Iron Throne over a 25 gold loan). Does the AI not have the ability to pay it back besides through event? Because that might explain why it keeps happening.

Speaking of the Martells, I really have to hand it to them. In all of my games, they seem to be the only dynasty that are always relentless in not dying out. I've seen the Baratheons, Tullys Greyjoys, Starks and Targaryens die out many times in my games, but the Martells are always going strong for me.

Same here. If anything they are too resilient, they take over the Stormlands in 60% of my games. If I had to guess I'd say its because absolute cognatic succession causes their potential female heirs to always matrilineally, which prevents them from losing their seats the way the other houses do.

And quite frankly, IMHO elective doesn't fit Iron Islands at least. Kingsmoot is great feature, but I'd reserve it (other than at Balon's death) for two occassions:

1. end of the dynasty – like in e.g. case of Hoares. When someone decimates entire ruling House, it's time for Kingsmoot.
2. as decision to call Kingsmoot (in elective, primogeniture, open and whatnot) – as Aeron did. You should be able to do it, if: 1) lords reavers have you in esteem, 2) newly inaugurated king is weak/hated.

IMHO it'd be much more lore-friendly. Kingsmoots were not exactly standard procedure. It happened pretty much only if: a) succession were too hazy, b) someone actively called for them & had enough support, from what I gather.

According to the books it happened everytime a king died until king Urran Greyiron killed every other pretendent after he won and set up his Dynasty as primogeniture. So with Elective Succession there should be a kings moot every time a king dies.
But there should also be an event (not the standart option) to set up anather Dynasty as Primogeniture and kill every other pretender wich grants Tyrant and Dishonerable (for example)

AIs don't really care about the survival of their house at all. All they do is make good marriages and hopes it will all go well. No back-up plans or self-preservation. They're not like us human players, where we place the survival of our family above all. To do so otherwise often means a loss.

This mod will really be awesome if we could somehow form a massive online group and fill every duke/king/emperor title with a human player. Oh, the fun we'll have.

Can some one please help me as ive said in earlier posts im an absolute novice and need all the help i can get tbh so if someone could help i would be really grateful . Can i have help in understanding this code please?? Obviously ive changed a few things and would i be right in saying the idea of this event is to make sure that only people of a maester trait can be in tbe citidel court ???? Because what i want to do is make it so only people of certain religious traits can be in the ecumenical patriarch court , what is it i need to do for that ???
Code:

Never in lore was even suggested it was every-time occurrence. Aeron just said that it was practiced in old time and most revered heroes were chosen by kingsmoot. Moreover: they cannot even tell if last Kingsmoot was two thousands years ago or if it was four thousands years! Those sources are extremely unreliable.

And: setting your Dynasty as primogeniture? Just why should it require „killing all pretendents”? This is one-time event, as of now – and the only reason it was called was to prevent the ascension of Euron Greyjoy. And there are no „pretenders” - every Ironborn captain with enough swords has „claim” on Seastone Chair.

(BTW: if anything, elective doesn't fit Kingsmoots at all – as then there are two votings for king, which is just hilarious)

While i agree, there is a somewhat definite basis for it. I mean women are..well women. Basicly same stigma as per usual, afaik aside from Dorne there arent even any agnatic-cognatic realms, or not really, at least from what i know most queens who are "rulers" are queen regents..hence they just rule for their sons. The only realms which have in theory a agnatic-cognatic succession are the iron islands, since it is literally based on strength, and the wildlings for the same reason.

Doesn't every Westerosi title except the Dornish use agnatic-cognatic? Dorne would use absolute cognatic. I seem to recall from the books that Cersei inherited Casterly Rock (and with it I assume the Westerlands) after Tywin died. Not to mention Maege Mormont, Alysanne Bulwer, and Tanda Stokeworth. 3 women (from 3 different regions) who rule in their own name. And those are just the ones off the top of my head, there are probably more.

Barbrey Dustin inherited control of Barrowton from her husband. Which implies the north has some sort of legalistic framework for inheritance to spouses.

Similar to what Ramsey Snow did over Hornwood. It's something that happened occasionally in real-world history as well. The game just has no real way of modeling it.

How are they broken?

The localisation? That's been fixed.

And if it modelled iure uroxis etc., it'd probably be massively OP - like 'let me wrestle everything from my King-tier wife' 8)
