I wish I'd known this a few hours ago. The mod now crashes whenever I try to load a save.

Can anyone tell how to roll back an update on Steam? I've been looking around but I can't find it.

I know where the SteamApps is and could play through there, I just need to roll back the latest update.

Right-click the game in steam, it's in properties under beta.

And you can still start the game through steam after doing this and it'll stay with the version you opted for, dunno what that guy is on about.

Started playing this mod over the weekend and can barely get any sleep! Damn you all!

I've been trying to win ACoK as Robb and just when things seem to be going my way, it all falls apart. So, I start all over again, Joffry must feel Ice on his neck!!! It's almost an obsession.

I'm glad I've waited this long to try the mod, it is very well put together and refined, cheers and thanks.

Very excited for the next release, especially with the knowledge that my Ironborn can keep on terrorizing Essos and the Summer Islands. However, the release of SoA begs me to ask another question- any chance that the Faith of the Seven will use any of the new priesthood mechanics? It would be very exciting to push a second or third son all the way up to High Septon. I must admit that I tend not to play as Faith of the Seven characters (mostly playing in 8001 as the Greyjoys or Starks), but something like this could add just enough depth to make it worth my while, I imagine.

The Faith of the Seven will be using the cardinal mechanics, with the High Septon being elected from among the Septons of the Most Devout. So it would certainly be possible to try and get your family member as High Septon.

While we're talking about religions, I want to propose so that the Valyrian religion is made on the image of vanilla's pagan religions, let me explain; the Valyrian belief system, much like most other pagan religions in vanilla CK2, is a religion tied to the ethnicity of it's people, and because this it is weak against the more proselytizing religions, like the FotS ( early Christianity) and R'hllor (Zoroastrianism, though it takes some elements from both Islam and Catholicism), also, I guess that most of the former Valyrian colonies only converted to Rhllor worship (and some didn't at all, see Braavos for example) only many years after the Doom. I propose an alternate history situation for Aegon (or any other Valyrian religion king strong enough) whereby he decides to, instead converting to the Seven or keeping the (unreformed) Valyrian faith, reforms the faith, noting the influence the High Septon and the Seven priesthood have in Westeros. He restructures the faith with a similar hierarchy to that of FotS religion, and has this new priesthood take a more active role in converting and expanding the new Valyrian religion, so that he's not influenced by the Seven's priesthood and doesn't have take into account the wishes of the High Septon.

if anything looks like Paganism its the Old Gods ;')

The Old Gods are another kind of ethnic paganism... not sure if pertaining either to the First Men or the Children of the Forest, though. Judging by the eclectic range of beliefs in the Free Cities (Rhllor, Many-Faced God, the bearded priests, etc...) , the Valyrian faith was more like Graeco-Roman paganism, it integrated local faiths into it's own.

yep I was thinking Old Roman/greek too :)

especially when you see how Westeros world is based on RL it fits the bill.

The old gods religion was taught to the first men by the children of the forest and it seems more like animism. It seems like one of the easiest religions to follow all you have to do is be a good host not chopdown the weirtree, not screw your siblings (sooo the Lannisters wouldn't be welcomed), not have slaves, and not kill your kin.

EDIT: Sorry to be one of those people but does anyone have a general idea when the next compatible version will come out, this month/year.

Will this be updated to 2.01?

How long a wait are we looking at?

We don't plan on releasing another Westeros only update before Essos, especially seeing as it's fairly easy to roll back to 1.111 with steam. This is because it is quite time consuming to make our current build Westeros only, and I'd rather get Essos ready ASAP. We aim to release Essos sometime in December.

You are making my shitty life so much better. Thank you for working on this.
