kohen gadols clothes
What I mean is, are the colors tipified in sacred text somewhere? Would Medieval jews use them as they are widely known today? Because the Catholic Church, for example, has only been vaguely consistent when it comes to its dress code, so I wouldn't be surprised if the clothes of the priests would not be always blue tunic, white turban, purple/gold ephod.

I'm asking because, even if I don't know much about Jewish priestly attire, I know that sometimes present understanding of Medieval fashion is too prevalent in media, and that therefore makes it expected, without there being any need for it. People expected kilts and tartans when watching that last movie about Robert Bruce, and some complained it didn't feel like Scotland, despite it being fairly accurate with its clothing and set design.

Forgive me if I'm being overly cautious.

Colors are tipofied in the Bible, very strictly actually.

can you show what you mean with the pictures in game, and with references and sources for the real thing?
I will try.

I imagine that the Karaites and Samaritans would be the same thing: White Ephod(sur-coat) and different colors for the Me'Il(Outer Robe).

This is the issue: it’s actually the same model, but the Tunic (red or gold or blue) is randomly generated every time.
If you try it with other characters, you’ll see that it switches to blue sometime and that’s the historically accurate version.

You can ask the mods to make sure it’s always blue, it should be possible.

Hello ! Now that we have a better idea of what artifacts will look like, do you plan on adding someday new artifact assets for CFP or another mod ? I am sure that, like vanilla CK3 for clothing, a lot of regional flavors will lack once the DLC is released.

I am making use of this post to thank you for all the amazing work you did with your mod :)

Of course not !

Krkrkrkr! I'm already working on that. I have several artifacts and furnitures done/planned/in progress, as well as throne rooms. Stay tuned :)

And sorry to those who are waiting for indian/steppe content, royal court gives me a bit of fresh air.

Now I think I have no choice but to give up on achievements! With the amazing clothing and now artifacts as well, you've made it so that this mod is absolutely required and surpasses my normal preference for working on achievements. :)

Hello there. I would like to ask, are you open to a 15th century pack in the future of development? Essentially some items for the last 50 - 60 years of the game or so? I've made two suggestions for such items on the suggestion box and I would like to know if they will be of use or if you consider such items too late in the game to spend resources on.

I appreciate the work you do here and I wish you all the best, cheers!

Hey, I did a few 15th century assets already, of course I am open to such a pack but understand that the last 50 years are only 1/11th of the game's timespan, so it's obviously lower priority.

Thanks for the suggestion still, every one of them is read and considered.

I did not mean to rush you, I understand the work that goes into it. Thanks for the response!

Hello everyone!

Today marks CFP's first anniversary!
On this occasion, let's make a small retrospect and see what awaits until the end of 2021!

1. The numbers
Steam workshop : 195k subs / Paradox Mods : 25k subs
Total models: 392 / Unique models: ~200
Major updates : 19 / Hotfixes: 49
Active team: 1x 3D artist, 1x 2D artist, 2x Historical advisors, 2x Translators
Budget: 2100$ from 38 donators

These numbers really surpass any expectations I had when I published CFP's first version. Indeed the initial release was a single CC-licenced Viking helmet I imported as proof of concept. Despite this, people immediately started asking for more!

2nd Steam comment

Coming from Arma 3 modding, I found the import to be extremely fast (10 minutes per model vs hours), which meant I had more time chilling on 3D software, and less time struggling with code and gameplay balancing, which was fine as at that time I was quite fed up fighting with the very complex RV engine. I drew some short term plans and started injecting tons of easy to make models in every direction.

Here we are one year later !

2. Updates timeline

As you can see on this timeline, in October the production went more and more stable and regular, around 1 "major" update every 15 days. Then, at the start of 2021, packs became much larger and released each month. This is the result of a more serious planning and more ambitious packs of course, but is also a rhythm than can be held for a long time. It's basically the update rhythm I'm working on for 6 years now, including my past projects.

But, will it be ever finished ?

3. What's next ?
Since Paradox announced unexpected delay on royal courts, I decided to shift my main effort on the Indian pack until we receive more informations. The development of the upcoming packs will therefore be simultaneous to the 1st "royal court" CFP update.

While the roadmap for this RC update is not very focused and more like an "all around" massive pack, there will still be a slight focus on William's the conqueror throne room (including furnitures and such), which will also fit to Anglo-Saxons and other northern christian rulers. Don't forget you can follow the evolution of the roadmap on the dedicated trello board.

The Indian pack, meanwhile, slowly entered in production in these early days of September, after I left for some holidays and resumed my real life work as school re-opened. It was quite a challenge to sort all the suggestions provided by the community on the suggestion box and Discord. Hopefully I quite know where's I'm going now, so the production rhythm should increase back to normal and I expect the pack to release some time this month.

That's it for today, alongside those two new royal court teaser, let me share with you some in-game stuff as well.
See you later!
