Wanted to make a small note, Muslim Indian women are still wearing the breastbands (pratidhi), not sure if you want to limit this attire to a rare culture or two as it was only prevalent in vedic times 1500 and 500 BCE. The stannapatta I think is not a breastband but more of a loose wrap like the blouse portion of a sari.

AND wishing you a happy 2022, and looking forward to another year of excellent content from CFP.

Thank you all for positive reactions and support.

To answer @sifsilver , I did not work in depth on the Indian pack AI assignment yet as the royal court could require me to rewrite most of what I created for a year and a half.

More indian clothing and deeper assignement, as well as time lock of vanilla clothes to late middle age is planned after royal court.

Have a good 2022 eve too, stay safe.

Does anyone know if this Mod will play nice with UberEpicZach's "Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded" Mod? I'd like to get this one too...

There is a patch that makes them work together, you can find it on steam I believe.

The following content is a summary of a roleplayed dev diary that happened all over the day on CFP's discord...

Jeanne's Royal Court Introduction

Greetings Lords and Ladies,

My name is Jeanne d’Orléans, I was appointed to introduce you to the Royal Court update of the Community Flavor Pack. I have nothing special but a nice shiny armor, and many informations to tell you about. Meet me in the great hall in about an hour. I have to take out all the dirt from my greaves or the king will be mad!

teaser_01a.jpg

Ah, here you are. Fine, let's get to it. You shall encounter a dozen of custom artifacts models in this update. Here is a unique sample in the hands of our Antiquarian. Come on, don't look at him like that, he once was a Byzantine emperor after all!

teaser_02.jpg

It is now time to go deeper into the Royal Court update content. Let me introduce you to some artifacts. Most of them will have a random quality level based on [REDACTED]. Some have visual variants are based on their quality or where they were crafted. You can see here 3 different catholic effigies (quality variants). Notice the different descriptions and new UI icons as well.

teaser_02a.jpg

As quality and models will vary, so will the artifact's stats. Those are both random and/or scaled based on artifact's quality. The chess set, for example, can be green and blue if you're in the eastern world, or red and black if you're in the western world. Then it can be any quality from common to illustrious, and the higher it is the better its stats will be. In the end, 2 different masterwork chess sets won't have the same stats. All the logics behind it are [REDACTED] in favor of gameplay experience of course.

Oh, and here is another person turned into a cup. That's a silly idea right ?

teaser_02b.jpg

To conclude on artifacts, I will reveal the most illustrious and historial ones. Those are truely unique, they only spawn once in predetermined courts or under predetermined conditions. They have the strongest stats. Most of historical artifacts included in the update will pre-exist at game start. But so will some other. For example, a chess set will be given to 10 random rulers in the world at the beginning of the game. Prepare to find, steal, pillage or craft it via [REDACTED] if you want one for yourself.

teaser_02c.jpg

If not all artifacts fall under the game start availability, it's because they will be available via several new event chains, such as this first event leading to the creation of Bayeux tapestry. The events are very much [REDACTED], one can only say they are based on conditions and/or randomness.

Proper gameplay content and events are new fields that CFP will investigate in the future, alongside artifacts and.... I'll tell you a bit later! Just keep in mind that everything is made so it won't change the vanilla experience. A particular effort was done on the writing quality and translation in all languages.

Hopefully they will bring you a lot of fun and you won't notice them.

teaser_03.jpg

Before we move on to another topic, just a quick image of two new game rules that will allow you to fully disable CFP Artifacts and Events if you wish. No hard feelings, but we will send our spymasters after you if you do so.

teaser_03b.jpg

I hear you all screaming inside : « what about the courts my lady ? » Well, it’s still not the right moment. But look at this marvelous Caen stone. (wink wink)
Featuring bellow are a throne and a bench from the same place, so feel free to have a sit while you wait for the Royal Court to drop.

teaser_04.jpg

Or maybe would you prefer this goidelic throne (wiiiiink) with a comfy cushion ? All these decorative elements might remain unnoticed in the middle of all the content that you will discover, but they offer nice alternatives to vanilla furnitures.

teaser_05.jpg

Your knights carried them on their back sometimes for a life time. Today is a great day for all footmen and shieldmaidens : shields can be displayed inside your court and feature your Coat of Arms! Those are craftable the same way as vanilla shields and will be yours as long as you're a Norse or a Norman. Therefore, they won't feature any CFP icon whatsoever, but they will be here.

teaser_06.jpg

To conclude this long day at the court of my good king, let me invite you once again to the Royal Court update trailer premiere tomorrow at 7:45.

In order to help you deal with these long 24 hours I would like you to know that there is still more I did not show nor hinted to you... to the south, in a land we already explored.

Good evening, lords and ladies.

You will like the trailer I am sure!

Amazing of course!

Do the CFP courts replace a region's court, or are they additive like with CFP clothes?

For example, the Norman Court, does is it completely replace Western courts for Norman-culture characters? Or will players be able to choose between CFP Norman and vanilla Western?

Norman court will replace court for Normans and English characters, or any divergent culture from frankish heritage that have its capital in England.

Ultimately maybe there will be a "pick" system but not upon release.

Code details you will understand easily :

Code:
has_graphical_norman_culture_group_trigger = {
    OR = {
        has_culture = culture:english
        has_culture = culture:norman
        AND = {
            culture = {    has_cultural_pillar = heritage_frankish }
            any_sub_realm_county = {
                any_this_title_or_de_jure_above = {    this = title:k_england }
            }
            NOR = {
                has_culture = culture:french
                has_culture = culture:frankish
                has_culture = culture:occitan
            }
        }
    }
}
