We certainly would like to change it, but that's a big endeavor (the diablerie scheme is not ready at all for AI use, there is no real choice for the defender right now) so no real ETA to share.
There is no end date (well, technically, 9999). The last big narrative events happen in 1500 with the Sabbat formation. There are only minor ones after it, so we traditionally consider that this is the end game of the mod.
There already is a dynasty legacy for them that rename them all to Angelic names. It might not work for childe embraced after the legacy is taken though, it's not my script, so I'm not entirely sure.

Have any of you guys ever encountered an event during an assassination plot where can make your target "disappear" mysteriously during battle where you are both present? In my current game all my ghouls died in this way in one battle.
Is this really working as intended? I thought the blood potency was to represent the thirst of ages in which case I should be able to slake my thirst on this methuselah, like some weird cannibalistic pyramid scheme.
I have to ask: what are the reasoning behind disallowing you to ritually murder your prisoners?
I think they mean that it'll happen, you just won't get a pop-up event saying that it happened. It'll happen to the characters, but unless you go searching for it you might not notice.

It's 5% chance to gain a discipline if your target has it non advanced, 10% if advanced. Those are low odds, you are probably just unlucky. Caitiff have no special restrictions on getting them.

Remember that if you are desperate for a discipline, it might be easier to make a friend/lover/soulmate that has it and ask him for mentoring. While costly in time and resources, it's a guaranteed success at the end. (Note: there is an issue in the steam build making Obtenebration not available by this method if this is the discipline you are looking for)
I made a temporary fix (localisation is lacking, the option to pick obtenebration says "not this time" but you still get the discipline) that you can just copy-paste into the Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2216659254\events\POD_interactions_misc folder and overwrite.
