Hi everyone, Sparc being busy with IRL stuff, I will be your host for dev diaries this time around.
So the next update doesn't add a new splat, like the Inquisition, but instead focus on miscellaneous quality of life changes and a big push to help alleviate the hefty learning curve of the mod (and the WoD universe itself). So it is sort of a big bag of various improvements and additions not necessarily related to one another.
Let's start with an addition :
Following Elysium replacing Feasts in the previous update, Survey Capital is a new activity replacing Hunts in this one.
First, "replacing" is not exactly true, hunts are still available to religions with the sanctity of nature tenet, representing that a minority of vampires are indeed quite fond of killing Gaia's little creatures.
In contrast to the Elysium, Survey Capital is more focused on your domain itself, and less on characters. The opportunities you will have depend on which buildings you have built in your capital.
It also somewhat helps a "tall" style of gameplay, since one of the potential rewards is an increasing modifier allowing you to find new opportunities for influence in the capital.
It has some other subtleties (the initial choice you have to make regarding the size of your escort can lead to complications). It's a smaller event chain than Elysium though (as is hunt for feast in vanilla). But it should help people that especially likes to invest heavily into their domain.
As with the hunts, it's also a potent stress relief if this is something you need in a pinch.
