Hello I live your mod although more than a mod it feels like a whole new game, I would like to know if we can't make Vozhd anymore or schlatza if we aren't tzimisce, I got into visscisitude as a caitif and after mastering it it doesn't let me unlock them as men at arm
Such MAA are now unlocked with a Tzimsice dynasty perk. Since your Caitiff doesn't have the Tzimisce trait, you don't have access to the Tzimisce dynasty legacy track and perks.

I went into the game and checked. You absolutely can make them without the legacy, just need to unlock mass-ghouled MMAs with the character interaction and have the lifestyle perk.
Unless Vladimir Rustovich, whom I selected has some special access to Szlachta and Vozhd?

Not sure which version you are on. I think we took out the unlock MAA decision as being non-intuitive to folks. Maybe thats only in devbuild. We also removed the "spawn army" decision in favor of just buying the special MAA through the standard MAA menu. And if dynasty head unlocks the legacy perk, any member of the dynasty can buy the MAA.

It's possible Steam didn't update the mod, but it should be a pretty recent version, and I definitely am not talking about spawning armies.

Edit: Un- and resubscribed from the mod on the Steam workshop, downloading it again. The unlock decisions for Mass Ghouls and Mass Vampires are still there and still also can unlock further stuff without always needing a dynasty perk.

Out of curiosity, how feasible would it be to create a standalone version of the mod that contains only the mechanics and such, but not the specific setting/character/history files etc.? For use in vanilla or other total conversion mods? Like if, say, someone wanted to play a kindred in the upcoming After the End?

Depends on what you were concretely looking for. If you start by removing all files in history folder, then removing all references to existing characters and titles in the other files (there are a lot, not hard to do, but time consuming), you would have a base that wouldn't be too hard to merge with vanilla. Then create a vanilla character, add them the vampire trait and you should have the vanilla game behaving as you want. It's actually already a submod done by our Chinese dev.

"Merging" it with another mod would be a whole can of worms though. The number of conflicting files that both try to change things from vanilla would probably be through the roof.

We updated the mod for 1.8. It's mainly a compatibility patch, but there are still some interesting new features.

French struggle :

Taking place in the war of princes bookmark, it's a struggle that will mostly rely on you being able to sway/coerce all French major players to unite under one banner... be it French or not.
More information can be found in the wiki. https://www.princesofdarknessmod.com/wiki/index.php/Struggles

AI using disciplines :

1669975320498.png

The AI now has a system allowing it to use its vampiric disciplines in a coherent manner. Meaning not stressing itself to death like in some of our earlier builds. AI's powers usage isn't 1:1 with players powers usage, but you should still feel the AI being more threatening when having those important disciplines.

Antediluvian hunt :

The Antediluvian Hunt stays consistenly a fan favorite part of the mod. Players love pain it seems! If so, the Troile Ante hunt will certainly please them. Prepare to jump into the time loop under Carthage. And likely never come back.

Demons :

For the eagle eyed among you, you already saw Demons in our previous update. They were WIP back then. Well, WIP has progressed and they are now more fleshed out with the usual array of things you are expecting. Unique powers, dynasty legacies, objectives, men at arms, mechanics (sway and corrupt) and even a secret redemption path...

As usual, you can also expect more lore buttons, character portraits, balance change and bugfixes as well.

Now that's what I'm talking about!
Will be sure to give them a whirl soon.

/EDIT: Actually, I'm surprised you don't choose your demon's sub-splat/House at game start? And the five philosophical factions (Luciferians and such) don't seem to be a thing at all?

You are talking about Demon the Fallen, which isn't a thing until 1999 and the complete collapse of the Abyssal Prison.
Our demons are from Devil's Due, the Dark Ages sourcebook for Demons, which are playable Earthbound that don't follow DtF's rules. They don't have the same factions and instead gather around the seven sins for example.

Hello guys, thanks for the awsome mod, but i have a problem qith the "final war" as a demon. Randomly when i enforce my demands i tells me i get "kingdom x" but the title is kept by actual owner and he just get out of the crusade until i enforce another demand, and then they come back into the fight. is it because i have no benficiary ?

Any chance that this fixes the awful complexion bug from vanilla 1.8? It's the only reason I am not playing right now. lol
I don't think we changed anything in particular about portraits with 1.8.1. We hesitate to fix vanilla bugs unless its something particularly egregious for our lore, as changing things adds to our potential tech debt on any update. Also, its not a great use of our time to fix things that PDS will fix (eventually) in vanilla CK3.

That said, whats this complexion bug?
