So, we've been working through the species list since 0.5 was released. I'm particularly glad the Krenim are finished as I ended up needing to change 74 hair asset files to prevent their head bumps from being concealed...

I've always loved the smug look on these guys' faces...

Use the cheat "free_policies" so you can allow resettlement, then exchange one of the Breen pops for another Human pop. Pops only grow if they have a fully grown pop of their own species on the same planet.
Don't forget changing back the policy, or people will get unhappy ;)

Yeah, the new stuff is going to be pretty damn cool. Have some Talaxian stuff to show you guys later today. I think my hate for Neelix was inspiration enough to get these guys done right the first time and never have to come back...

Okay, so that's Talaxians all sorted out! Uniforms based on head of the asteroid outpost's clothing in Homestead episode, with colour shifts for Admiral / General / Scientist / Governor / Ruler.

Two phenotypes each and four hair colours; ten civilian pop outfits in total.

Let nobody say we didn't provide Talaxians... :S

So I watched Star Trek Beyond this afternoon with the missus and was very pleasantly surprised. Once again the even numbered hypothesis holds up.

I won't spoil it, but will just say that it's great fun and has some cool (passing, non spoiler) references to Enterprise, MACOs and the Xindi that made this fanboy squeal. Also, we got to fill in the uniform gap between Enterprise and the USS Kelvin's uniforms, which since everything up to the Kelvin in the new movies *is* Prime Universe, I figured I'd get straight to including them!

Hope you guys like the late 2160s - 2200s uniform:

Having just watched Star Trek Beyond(which I loved by the way), it got me thinking. Are there any plans for people if they want to be able to use ship parts in customization from the new Kelvin timeline films instead of the old? Of course we should be able to use the Prime universe by default, but it'd be nice if we at least got the option to use the new film designs as I really enjoy it.

So if everything before the Kelvin timeline is Prime, does that mean
Krall is Prime as well, as technically he's from before, but was only defeated in the new timeline? I suppse it's just that no one encountered him in Prime. If he is, he would make a nice event.

Star Trek "Beyond": Thank the Universe that Abrams has finally learnt he can not direct. Justin Lin must have access to Roddenberry's original concept drawings, looks very good. LOL'd at the docking, a nod to the 'Elite' game.
