Can you give me the exact name of the event and the event number?
 
What needs to be done with the utmost emergency, and above all else, is to find out why the mod crashes when countries are released as independent.

Strangely, this happens to some countries and not others.

For example, Russia, Turkey and China are able to release nations without the game crashing.

On the other hand, when Great Britain, France, Germany or Austria-Hungary attempt to release a country as independent the game crashes.

When testing v1.05 in the standard HOI, releasing independent countries worked.

When testing v1.00 of TGW, releasing independent countries worked as well.

It makes me think that somewhere, something has changed between 1.00 and 1.02 which now makes the releasing of countries to cause the mod to crash.

The revolt.txt file seems to be fine, since using standard HOI's revolt.txt file with 1.02 also caused a crash.
 
I'm playing germany on the 1.2b version. And my game crashes on the august 6'th 1914 time = 00:00. I have no idea what made it crash (been trying several times)? The austrian decided not to go to war against serbia! perhaps this has some influence?

Maybe some nation had a defeat event fire that caused some independence to be triggered. If that was what happened, it's being looked into. Could you gon into your hoi directory and open the file "history.txt" and see what the last few lines are? (assuming you haven't played some other game of HOI in the meantime, in which case history.txt will have data for that game)

Critial Error - Database Mismatch

Hi!

HOI mod TGW starts well enough, but as soon as I click on a country and hit start, I get a window that pops up and reads Critical Error - Database Mismatch. This is a fairly new PC that runs HOI 1.05 without any trouble. Help! I want to play this excellent mod.
 
Delete all of your ministers and leaders in the folder that has just been installed. Then unzip TGW over the top.

Next time, post in the correct place. Some members of the team get really upset when they see new threads cluttering up the forum.

Hey, I don't get upset. It just makes it easier for my lazy *** to find stuff if people don't post new threads that would by rights belong in another current thread. :)

BUG in 1.02b

Got 2 bugs

Playing Germany version 1.02b

When i have taken Paris i got the event for London!!!!

When i load a saved game the "old" borders are set up, and my troops are standing i the middle of france and i am not in war with any country.

anyway, great job with the mod
 
Okay, I have seen this bug before repeatedly in other mods and even the main game, but it has never been so wrong as now. It is funny though!

I just saw a recon plane nearly circumnavigate the globe! :rofl: I loved it! Ha Ha! It took almost a week but it did it. I don't know why, but the Austrian group with 4 recon planes flew from somewhere on the Dalmatian coast (I noticed it when it was moving through the Tyrranean Sea) and it had the Austro Hungarian flag above it so it wasn't a defeated unit. I followed it for several days until it finally landed in the Samoas. It was then with 17 recon planes based there.

UPDATE: The AI ordered the planes BACK to A.H. territory then sent them BACK AGAIN to the Samoas! It isn't even taking the "short route" thru the Suez (I am Ottomans and control North Africa and Djibouti-Sana). It has happened between June 10, 1916 and June 28, 1916 (so far).
It was the funniest thing since the Italians ended a war on the same side they started it on! (The Gulf war ha ha!)

I hate having to start another new game whenever I beat the hell out of the computer! This is killing me!!! AHHH!

That problem was sorted out days and days ago, so no need to get so excited.
 
Hello!

I played TGW first time and here is what I noticed:
1) I play with counters and their icons are not updated (guards look like paratroopers) and so on - this can be easily fixed
2) Austrian counters have the same color as Russian counters so it's very confusing
3) the game crashes everytime on August 5th 1914. Last history logs:

1914-07-04 : 0:00 August 5, 1914 : The people of Ireland declared independence from British Empire.

Anyway - it's a great mod!
