Is there a working link to the windowed patcher/mod somewhere? The original host seems to be down and the resolution changer didn't seem to work. 1024x768 stretched to 1680x1050 sucks.

If you have a hex editor it's a trivial change to make for yourself; open victoria.exe with a hex editor, find the string of bytes 00 00 00 00 8B 55 08 89 and change the first 00 to 01. You might also try Lord Ederon's Pegasus Hexa Wizard: http://www.ederon.net/program.aspx?id=40004 .

I tried that with Ultraedit and just get a 'could not initialize video' error followed by crash to desktop. This is with VIP 0.1R.
Did you try Pegasus Hexa Wizard?

Just tried it now and I got the same result :(
Don't forget to set your color depth to 16bit. Game will just fail to initialize in a window under anything else.

I don't know if the creator is around or anything, but I've had a few problems with the Early Israel mod. I'm using it with Revolutions 2.01 + VIP, and it will not allow me to convert any POPs whatsoever. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the forums.

With Revolutions, VIP or no VIP, Israeli mod or not, you can not covert non-national pops at all unless you have a Full Citizenship party in power.

You will also discover that there are some complicated runs governing conversion of pops to and from being soldiers depending on your war policies. Jingoism allow you to convert pops to soldiers, but you can't decommission them back to laborers and so forth. I don't have all the policies in my head, but that gives you and idea of how things have changed from the original Victoria. ;)

Thanks. The problem is though, not only do I have Full Citizenship, but I can't convert anyone to anything. Craftsmen to clerks or laborers, absolutely nothing, even the the main culture. I was thinking that maybe the mod was meant not for Revolutions or the VIP, I'm not sure. But it's boggling the hell outta me. Would it be because my gov't has Laisse Faire and/or Free Trade?

All "victoria.nsen.ch"-links should be changed to "www.paradoxian.org/vickywiki".

(Lots of it is probably a bit dated, but anyway :) )

Can't seem to get Darkrenown's mods by doing this. Can you give an exact link?
My bad, there was another step to the process, so one needs to exchange

victoria. nsen. ch/ wiki/ images

into

www. paradoxian. org/ vickywiki/ vickywiki_images

(without spaces)

Internally, the wiki shouldn't be using URLs, but that's part of a slightly different story.

This may be in OHGamers hotfixs but I didn't see it when I looked.
The wording in the event commands is wrong on the item below.

"type = add_division which = [div type] value = [brigade type] when = province # Magically create a new division in province"

The word "when" should be "where". It's such an obvious mistake....
