Hello, I have a problem with succession: I started in the earliest start date as Caius Lex in the Heartlands. The first couple decades went by normally, but when my first ruler died I started to have some problems. When I tried to nominate my firstborn son, he wouldn't show up, the default heir was in fact my firstborn's son. I could find no reason why I couldn't nominate him so I instead nominated my second son who was still a child, but not as young as my grandson. Five months later, I notice that suddenly my grandson is the default heir again, the nomination of my second son disappeared and I can't nominate him either. Is there a reason why all my children stop being eligible heirs suddenly?

Another thing I noticed is that a ton of those elder council amulets have spread all over the world after just a few decades of gametime, meaning those people wouldn't vote for my candidate anymore due to the heathen malus. Is this working as intended?

Dumb question, but is there any way to get the Amulet of Kings from someone without having to go through killing entire families in the process, as it seems that I cannot raid or steal it from them?
You can't steal it after kidnapping them?

So now I restarted the game on a different PC and it seemed like it worked for a while, my first son was eligible to be nominated. A few years later I decide to switch from my firstborn to my second, because he has better stats and he's once again not available (despite every other member of my family being available)? How does that work?

I actually think I might have figured it out and it might be an issue with the base game (at least in part).
It seems that in the base game, if an individual is the heir of another title already, they can't be nominated for succession in any kind of elective monarchy. What I did was giving my half-brother (then my fourth son) a duchy. Doing this, turned it immediatly into a merchant republic. This might be caused by the unique Imperial Commune government type in the mod. In any case, the merchant republic ruled by my brother chose my second son as it's heir, skipping several available brothers and nephews. As soon as I dealt with the problem (jumping through several hoops and using the console), making sure my second son was not the heir of the merchant republic, he was eligible to be nominated as my heir.

Now I just have to make sure that none of my dynasty members ever get another title because they immediatly turn into merchant republics (which is still silly), but at least I know how to deal with it.

Hey there! I came back to Elder Kings after a very long time and just had a minor query. I’m currently the Nordic Empire (Skyrim and High rock) and I have come across the Amulet of Kings.

Because I’m already Nordic Emperor is this essentially useless or can I still create the actual Imperial title?

Not 100% sure, but if you manage to create Tamriel or Cyrodiil through decision (with the needed titles and everything), I think your previous imperial tier title is destroyed, making your Amulet of Kings useful for the coronation (a decision that will give you tons of prestige, and might or might not be related to the daedric invasions as you're lighting the dragonfires, but maybe the devs can help with that). Otherwise, it's cool to have it as the nordic emperor : P

EDIT: Read your post again. As far as I remember, I created once the empire of Tamriel after being already emperor of Cyrodiil and, as I said, the Cyrodiil title was destroyed.

I was wondering if there was a change to Daedric cults in regard to the jade dragon interaction menu as it is not showing in my current game.
p.s sorry if I missed something.

Probably you just need to run the game for a few months. I think it takes maybe a month for the icons to appear, if they don't show up after a year something is wrong.

Is the only way to get a dragonblooded lineage to marry into the dragonborn? Or is there some way to "Claim" lineage back to allesia herself as one of the descendans of akatosh? As much as I'd like to light the dragonfires and parade around with an amulet of kings in my current game, it'll be hard without the blood of akatosh in my pedigree and could only find posts saying the dragonborn was the only way, as opposed to dragonblood descendant of saint allesia, wife of akatosh.

Probably the easiest way around it is to marry a descendant of Reman. The Reman bloodline shouldn't be hard to marry into and once you've acquired it, you'll have dynasts who are fit to wear the Amulet of Kings and light the Dragonfires.

Welp, makes sense. Too bad I'm already a vampire, but good for the future :p I'll check out the reman bloodline because there's a chance the elder council may have issues with my existence eventually. So groomng a propper imperial claimant line is probably good.

I assume it's still just oversee construction in sancre tor to find the amulet aye?

Would it be possible to add an option (in the similar fashion as the Ideal Masters option) to allow custom kingdoms and empires? Although I really understand the reason to do this, I kind of miss being able to use that feature every once in a while.

I was wondering, is Stros M'Kai supposed to have no character as its leader because I've played Elder Kings on two different computers and had the same issue and was wondering if it was another mod I had enabled or whether it wasn't supposed to have a character.
