Something I just noticed which seems strange to me. Japan has a "Torpedo Cruisers" Focus. But according to what I've read Japan only built two (planned 3) Torpedo Cruisers during WW2 and they were conversions of older Cruisers. And these two Torpedo Cruisers were never used in combat. They became high speed troop transports. It seems like the idea of Torpedo Cruisers was pretty much abandoned by the time WW2 happened. Just seems odd.

How do you get the Naval Invader trait on your General? Because I just did a naval invasion of China from another place in China and it didn't give my General any XP gain for that trait.

Is there an order for historical research on historical mode? Like there is for doing the Focuses. I want to play in a historical way. But I don't see any AI strategy plan for Research like there is for Focuses.

Do you get your Puppets resources? I'm wondering if I should annex Manchukuo and Mengkukuo. Playing as Japan. Manchukuo has 29 aluminum which I could really use. I wonder why Korea starts out as annexed but the other two do not?

Do you get progress towards the Engineer trait when you are on the defending side? Meaning if I place my troops on the far side of a river and build a fort, will my General get XP towards Engineer when he is attacked?

Does anyone know if Field Hospitals reduce casualties from Resistance?

How can I see what affect my Division templates are having on Resistance? I built a better template but I don't understand how to tell if it's working or not.

Do certain Operative actions not give them experience? Because it seems like only my Operative who is building a network is actually gaining experience.

I'm kind of confused about how importing your Puppets' resources works. I'm playing Japan. Manchukuo has a bunch of Aluminum and Steel which I could definitely use. However, I don't want to take all of their resources b/c then they won't be able to produce anything. When I go to the trade screen it seems to give me all of their resources for 1 of my Civilian Factories.

One fast question. I'am playing the new dlc with turkey. When I conquer Kuwait, I try to free it as a puppet. But in the buttom where you hace the option, no state appears for Kuwait and when you push it nothing happens. If I play as UK, you can release Kuwait with no problems. Same occours wiht France in case of Syria. But with Turkey I can not free them. I have the button i can press it, but nothing happen. Is it a bug?

Playing historically Germany how do I get Navy Experience? I try to train the Navy, but don't ger much out of it. Maybe I should involve my navy in the Spanish war?

Train them non stop, even after they get trained level, and pay the oil for training too (make sure you don't run out of oil). When the war start keep using the old ship for trainning.

You get invader by fighting from seaside, so not unopposed landings. That's why it needs so few XP.

And historical research? Like, go by the tech years?

You have to pay for those, usually you get a discount from 25% - 1000%. Pay 1 CIC for 10-80 ressources, depending on autonomy of Puppet. You do get a share of MIC and CIC though.

1. No, afaik
2. No idea. Should work, though.
3. You can open a Résistance Log, with a Skull/notepad logo in "occupied territories", right upper corner.

That Shows you manpower and Equipment losses over time. Other important figure is manpower needed to occupy.

Somebody can give me a good tactic about how to use espionage as Germany and USA ?
Depends on your objective. Generally building spy Networks is a good idea, Germany profits from collaboration government and weaken Résistance.
US can use diplomatic pressure and sabotage etc.

Really depends on how much you're willing to Invest there.

+1 to : do Field Hospitals reduce resistance casuaties.

Dive templates on resistance. You want to compare suppression, and some hardness in high casualty areas.
The other thing is in the resistance tab, click on garrisoned divison and compare the manpower and equipment costs of your listed divisions.

Why were the resources in French Indochina sabotaged when the territory was given to me? I'm playing Japan. I don't think the French historically did that. So it doesn't seem very fair to me at least on historical mode.

So I just read that it's possible to capture enemy ships that are being built or refitted. Has anyone actually ever done this? I've never seen it happen.

When you refit a Battleship into a Carrier, is there any difference between old Battleships and new Battleships? Is there any difference between normal Battleships and Super Battleships?

Does anyone know how Romania is supposed to end up when on Historical mode? I believe there is some kind of bug which I detailed here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...romania-not-abdicating-king-carol-ii.1347754/

I know King Carol II is supposed to abdicate. What I don't know is whether Michael I is supposed to be in charge or if someone else is. There are two abdication Focuses. The Romania AI for some reason did not choose either even though it's supposed to. One makes Michael I the ruler and the other seems to make Michael I a figurehead ruler.

I am going to use the command console to fix it if I can.

1. Yes. At least the new ship is a CV and don't have BB boost from doctrine.
2. Super battleship have unique armor and guns, and more visibiltiy, easier to get hit or get detected.

Resources in Hoi4 work a little different than one might intuitively assume. All Countries have a fixed part of their resources (between 80% and 0%) available for trade with other nations, depending on their respective Trade Law. Those resources can not be used in production by the owning country, no matter if they are bought by someone or not. At the same time you can never trade for the part of a countries' resources it has available for production. Meaning you could never 'drain' your puppets of resources.
On the contrary it is better for your puppets if you trade in their resources, as they get the factories you use to pay for the resources they could not use anyways.

I don't understand how to do a Coordinated Strike. I've spent like 30 minutes looking for the button in the UI and it's nowhere to be found. The Wiki doesn't tell you how to do it. The Dev Diaries don't explain how to do it. What am I missing? Is it bugged?

Is there a way to make one country a puppet of another? I want to make Croatia a puppet of Germany or Italy. The way the game portrays Croatia as independent is historically wrong. Croatia was a joint puppet of both Germany and Italy.

Is there a mod that allows you to change the colors of nations?

Coordinated strike is an operation. Refer to intel ledger.
