Does it actually make any difference which LARM are being used in a armored recon support battallion (LARM I, LARM II or LARM III)?

If not, wouldn't it make sense to restrict them to use LARM I in the division template?

No, for multiple reasons:
  1. Garrison divisions do not calculate their stats from their actual equipment like real divisions. They just use the values as shown in the division designer (which assume your latest equipment) and a custom reduction function when they lack equipment.
  2. All light tanks have the same hardness (80%) and suppression (2.5). Those are the only stats that matter for garrisons.

Are certain occupation laws exclusive to Fascist countries? If so, which ones? I'd like to have a historically correct occupation of China, Korea, Manchuria, etc. Playing as Japan.

Thanks for your kind and swift answer!

However, i was not thinking of garrison divisions but the combat related stats of divisions in general. Armored recon does add to breakthrough and several other stats. This way one can beef up some specialised infantry based divisions so they can be better used on the offense. But according to the division designer it seems to me that it does not any difference which kind of LARM one uses in the recon support. We already know that de designer does only account for top notch equipment.

My question is - does it make any difference on the battlefield if there is either LARM I or II or III as recon support? Or is it a flat bonus for all types?

Ah, my bad. Then I take everything back and claim the opposite for the opposite of the reasons outlined above :p. The LARM recon stats are based on its equipment, e.g. it has 50% of the breakthrough/defense of its tank equipment and 10% of its hard/soft attack. So better tanks will provide better stats (to some extent). The company needs less than half the number of tanks compared to a LARM battalion so at least in terms of breakthrough it is rather efficient.

Thank you and please forgive my unprecise wording of a non native speaker! :)

Two questions...one new and two that have plagued me since day one...

1. France does not seem to have a transport plane. I looked in production options and research options to see if I'm missing something, I can't find it. Does it exist? Kinda renders para and air supply useless if they don't have them....

2. One thing I've never understood from day one. How come sometimes when I plan a naval invasion, with adequate transports, sea coverage, etc, it will make the plan but say no divisions are assigned to the plans? Then no matter what I try I cannot attach divisions to the plan. Sometimes I make a naval invasion plan and it works just fine without this issue...what is going on here.

3. Using infrastructure to transport troops...the little rail icon. Does this ever actually work? Why does it get switched off everytime I click it?

France does start with a transport plane. In the Production queue click on the 'Build Aircraft' icon. The transport plane should be at, or near, the bottom of the list.

Naval invasions require the 'Transports' techs near the bottom of the Naval techs tab. You start with a capacity of only 10 divisions. You can draw as many orders as you like, but only those which use the first 10 divisions will get units assigned to them. Once you research 'Landing Craft' the number goes to 40 divisions. 'Advanced Landing Craft' permits 100 divisions.

This is not necessarily bad. It allows you to start the planning on as many invasions as you like so, when one is completed, you can assign troops to an existing order and execute your invasions more quickly.

Also, once the order has been written, you can change troop assignments for the orders by using the 'Edit Mode' buttons to remove/add troops to orders.

3. Using infrastructure to transport troops...the little rail icon. Does this ever actually work? Why does it get switched off everytime I click it?

I use the 'Railroad' movement order all the time. Without knowing exactly what you're trying to do it's hard to help with this.

Don't know if this is a bug or not. In the game I just played as England I used my spies to boost Democracy in Germany as quickly as possible. When the Sudetenland issue arose, I chose to defend Czechoslovakia. I invaded as soon as I could and, while I was fighting, Italy joined the war. After a while a Democratic uprising occurred and we defeated both Nazi Germany and Italy. In the peace deal I selected 'change government' for Italy and, seeing that Italy was now Democratic, went on to other things. A while later, to my surprise, Italy DoW'd Greece. When I checked Italy's focus tree I saw that it had the same one it started with. I thought it would have the default one. Am I mistaken? Is Italy supposed to keep its old focus tree?

Thanks, maybe it was the landing craft tech I was overlooking...The railroad movement order sees to switch itself off always, it seems.

Is it possible the unit you're trying to move already has a standing order (fallback line, front, etc.)? The railroad command works, so there's something else going on.

If you can upload a game file and tell me exactly the 'Railroad' order you're trying to execute, I'll see if I can determine the issue.

Playing as France (Little Entente path, Blum as president), I've lost Paris to the Germans but have them held in a defensive line just North of there while I capitulated Italy.

However, I've found I'm unable to deploy trained divisions - is this because my Capital is lost? I still have cores on the rest of France and in Algeria - can I take steps to deploy in those area? Or is this a bug?

Does anyone know if there are time limits on the Propaganda and Boost Ideology missions? The tooltips don't mention any. But, I send agents off to perform them and, before I know it, they're back in my capitol.

Greetings, I would appreciate your help, this bothers me:

1. Can you take Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhouwan as any China without declaring war?

2. When occupying the enemy non-core territory do enemy take some casualties as well while fighting with the garrison forces?

3. Why China does not have its own air and tank company? Even Liberia has one.

4. Is there any way to boost resistance? (in enemy territories)

5. Why I took the exact 119 casualties 18x in a row from garrison over two months period?

6. How do you reduce resistance level on harsh quotas?

7. What happens to the equipment (support eq., guns, cars, tanks, artillery...) when you encircle division and destroy it? Do you capture it? Will it go into your stockpile? Or simply it disappears from the world?

8. Is it possible there will be small tweaks in the future for already reworked countries? (to match the latest ones)

Please if I need a specific DLC don't forget to mention it.
Thank you

As far as I know, no.
2. When occupying the enemy non-core territory do enemy take some casualties as well while fighting with the garrison forces?
No
5. Why I took the exact 119 casualties 18x in a row from garrison over two months period?
The frequency of attacks is somewhat randomized but the magnitude of the attack has no randomization. So as long as you have the same occupation policy, the same template etc. the losses will be the same each time.
7. What happens to the equipment (support eq., guns, cars, tanks, artillery...) when you encircle division and destroy it? Do you capture it? Will it go into your stockpile? Or simply it disappears from the world?
It disappears.

The developers have said they want to do it, but it remains to be seen when/if it will actually happen.

So I am dusting this game after a year hiatus. After the man the guns, a developer hired to revamp naval mechanic did an hour long video explaining some of the features of the Man the Guns mechanics. i would like to watch it again but cannot find it. Was hopinh someone can direct me to it. I thought it was under either paradox or paradox grand strategy youtube channels but could be wrong. Thanks.

Probably not the one you sought after but i found this one to be quite instructive for starters:
