As far as I know, each level of synthetic oil tech lets you build another refinery in each state.
So lvl 1 means you can build 1 in every state that still has a building slot free, lvl 2 means that you can now build a 2nd one in each state that already has one in it(assuming you still have building slots free).

Is where I found the refinery info, plus has a lot of other tips/answers to common questions.

Thanks! I was afraid of that, largely useless it seems (dumb for me to build as USA anyway, but I wanted domestic rubber). Very helpful tips, too.

"Battleplan system starts to make a lot of sense ~80 hours into the game" only 72 hours to go!

Is there a way to create army groups with armies attached to them? Do we use Theaters for that? For example I want to create Army Group Center with Guderian and Hoth as Panzergruppe leaders supported by 2 infantry armies commanded by infantry generals. With all under command of von Bock for example.

Do they have a victory point in their pocket? They generate supplies. I also think there is a 48 hour grace period.

It was just a random forest in Texas. I'd waited about a month actually but no go.

I just reloaded the game and it's working again, also the AI is actually attacking me now. We've been at war, Mexico and the US for 5 months and they already have 100 more divisions than me. SO yeah, I'm going down, but I took 100k of their soldiers with me!

No. This isn't HoI 3. There will ever be only one commander for an army. So unless you make different armies, all with their different front lines and battle plans, you can't assign "infantry generals" to already made armies.

Theaters are only there to help you organise.

What are these values for?

Nobody knows?

Few Queries:

1. Can I negotiate a peace deal? I have eaten all of Dutch Holdings in indonesia, and sunk their navy. But, I can't get a surrender/negotiated peace deal? I even cheated to -force- the 'offer peace' thing on diplomatic screen to go off, but all that does is white peace, which is not what I wan't. I can't send my fleet all the way to the Netherlands to capture their stuff, and surely I should be able to make them realise that there are bigger issues around, like a rampaging Germany next to them.

2. Is there a way to see the estimated armies/navies of other nations? IT's not exactly easy to hide how many carriers your yards have made etc. (Basically, is there a ledger?)

3. how do I see province ID's?

1. In order to force surrender you need to control a higher percentage of victory points than the national unity that country has. So if a nation has 100 victory points and 65% national unity 65 victory points need to be captured. Im guessing mainland Netherlands is still unoccupied? That means you have to wait for germany.

2. You can check enemy estimated military strength in that country's menu just click on the country flag and go to the tab 'details' located right above the list of diplomatic actions. Numbers are inaccurate and become more accurate the higher your intelligence tech is compared to their encryption tech.

3. I dont think the provinces are named, just the states.

On the diplomacy screen there is an info tab which will give estimated values for these. I think they get more accurate based on your encryption/decryption differences.

1. But...I've killed 90% of their navy, over 100 thousand soldiers, and I solidly own indonesia. Surely the Dutch Parliment can see that the war has already ended? (They're not at war with germany, due to some derpy stuff happening). The big worry is that I know that in a few months from the save, the Allies will accept em into their faction. I played it for a while, but after beating up british navies all over, I just couldn't be bothered to go further.

I guess what I'm asking is, can't we negotiate for peace at all before VP capitulation? :s

2. Thank you, I didn't see this tab at all.

3. I meant province ID's, for the sake of console usage.

Do i have to guarantee poland as UK in order to get in to the war with germany or will an event fire?

In the Johan vs Daniel WWW stream Johan forgot to do the focus tree for danzig and he didn't have the diplomatic situation to manually guarentee and that caused them to have to save scum fix it. So the answer is yes, but there should also be a focus for it that you can pick to manually override any political requirements to guarentee them.

i'm sure this has been asked and answered but.. on the www's Daniel sometimes used a page showing a line-by-line at-a-glance surplus and shortfall for current military production. I can't find the button for this on the production tab - how is it accessed?

Greetings, collective wisdom. Could anyone tell me why my UI is really big? Like, at least 30-50% larger than in the gameplay videos I've seen around? I've tried fiddling with some of the graphics settings, but nothing seems to change the giant UI. It's hard to assign navies or aircraft when the UI blots out most of the map!
