Thanks to all today answered my questions about parallel division training.

In Canada I got everyone to do exercises and I know that consume equipment and manpower. I'm also training one division but no equipment is being allocated to the second. The logistics window indicates that I'm meeting the needs of everyone with the infantry and the light tanks in a positive income.

What I don't get is despite that, I'm still not getting the second division trained.

Does that mean that I need to reach a certain net income to start training?

Is the first one full of equipment? If you click on the number in the logistics window, how much equipment do you have spare?

Question - can front lines be stretched over more than one country border? I haven't figured out how to extend my Netherlands front line south to cover Belgium and Luxemburg.....

What exactly does it take to get the political advisor bonus and/or the panzer trait bonus for tank divisions? If its that a division has more than 50% hardness the advisor/trait is kind of crappy...

Hi, I am designing a motorised division, i want to add a couple of SPGs. I have the necessary tech. The template does not give me the option to stack the SPGs under the MOT bns (configured 2/2/1), but does let me start a new column of SPGs (thus 2 MOT/2 MOT/1 MOT/2 SPG). Why can't I stack an SPG under the MOTs (like I can ART with INF in my infantry divisions), and does it matter that the SPGs aren't covered by a MOT in the top slot (ie am I inadvertently placing an SPG in the front line).

Basically same thing from Recruit & Deploy.
Thanks ! I thought I saw that in a play through. But every time I click on that grey circle then click on the army it just selects the army.

Is it ctrl or shift click on the army or something?

Each column can only have units of the same general type. Infantry, Artillery and Motorized are the same type, but SPGs count as armored units, so they have to have their own column or be in the same column as other armor.

I can't test it right now but I guess SP Arty is considered to be a type of "tank", where the motorized inf counts as infantry. The combat brigades have specific types and each type has only a number of different unit-types which can be attached, so you probably have to add the SP arty to either a tank brigade or attach a new tank brigade and place them there (costs 25 exp instead of 5 for the first battalion).

So I'm playing Japan and chose to found my own faction rather than join the Axis as I wanted to try everything possible to not end up at war with the US and the Soviets until I decided to do it.

I was doing the Southern Expansion and declared on Netherlands. Eventually (inevitably?) they called in Allies so I'm now also at war with France, UK, Australia, Raj etc...

Now, this obviously wasn't what I had in mind as I'd have liked to have secured the dutch provinces first even if I'd still have declared on them in the end but more importantly as Germany hadn't yet got Ile de France I couldn't take the 'Demand French Indochina' national focus so just had to invade it in the usual manner. Germany was in it's own Axis war against Netherlands, France etc.

I was halfway through taking French Indochina and continuing my Dutch East Indies invasion when both Netherlands and France capitulated. However that was in the war against the Axis but they're both showing as capitulated in my war.

The new Netherlands capital is Medan in Sumatra so taking that doesn't worry me too much HOWEVER my question is will this make them capitulate again?

As for France their new capital is pissing Corsica so I'm never going to grab that and my question for France is do I have to claim the capital?

Be interested if anyone else has already experienced this as until I get the Peace Conference and can claim states I guess I'd better get used to dealing with resistance...

I am exporting steel, but I am now short on steel myself. How do I end some of the exports, so I don't have to import?

You'll need to change your trade law. Trade laws dictate the percentage of your produced resources that you will export, as well as other bonuses and penalties. They're in the Government tab (click your flag), and will cost 150 Political Power to change.
