If needs are fulfilled for infantry equipment I, and I have equipment ii researched, is it better to devote another factory line to equipment ii, or replace equipment i with the upgrade?
I have always started producing the better equipment as soon as possible, but then I have always had a stockpile of old equipment. If you are at war and your divisions are lacking equipment then maybe you should keep an old effective productione line going. If needs are fulfilled for infantry equipment I, and I have equipment ii researched, is it better to devote another factory line to equipment ii, or replace equipment i with the upgrade?

In my first game, me = Italy and germany took France. Now i want to give Germany the states i have in northern France. The problem is of the 3 states, iin 2 i dont have all the provinces, more like 9 of the 11. The other provinces are occupied by Germany. How can i give them away?
I can only give the state where i have all the provinces, but not when i do not own just 9 of the 11 provinces. I can understand that, when the provinces belong to an other country like Spain, but this time they are conquered by germany itself.Look how the state is named, where the provinces are in. Then go to the diplo screen and give Germany this state.

No, i can only give them states where i have 100% control. Most likely this is because of Bourgogne and Champagne, while i have 90% of the state, they have control of the city and the most Victory Points. Because i can ask Germany for control of both states, while i have 9/11 provinces in the state. Unfortunately, they wont give me any of the states, because Germany thinks i allready have to many of them. So i cant even ask them both (for the last couple of provinces) and then give them back.Yes you can. At least, I was able to do so when I gave Hungary some provinces in Romania.
I belive there is a console command that will make the AI accept any diplomativ proposal. I don't remember the command right now, but you can look for it by typing help in the console.View attachment 190327

I just want to end the bordergore in France
Any other advise, or should i just post this in the suggestion forum?
Edit: nvm i looked it up, i even have al the cities in both states. Control is like: 95% italy and 5% germany, and i still cant give the states away and only ask them from Germany, who wont give them.
They shuld have joined the comintern in my opinion. This could be a bug that should be reported. If you have a save from before they joined the allies, maybe you can use the command ai_accept and then invite them. They should say yes. There is also the allowdiplo command which may allow you to use greyed out diplo alternatives.I don't want to start a new thread for this question, so here it is.
How can I change a country's faction with the use of the console commands?
I have checked the console command list in the HOI IV wiki.
Reason for this: I am playing as the Soviet Union, and I have been influencing/installing a Communist government, along with boosting relations with Turkey since 1936. I have finally staged a coup, and have sent 4 divisions, and equipment to support the coup. During the revolution, the Axis declared war on the Republic of Turkey (my Communist allies fighting in Turkey), and they (the Communists) immediately, by default, joined the Allies. I was furious after 4 years of preparation, and all of the help I'd given them.
Let's be honest, in a situation like that, they would've likely gone to the Soviet Union for help, and not the Allies.
So, any ideas on a console command to change their faction, or to influence how much they like me? If I could figure out how to change their opinion of me they'd likely accept a invite to the Comintern before the war declaration.
I realize this is extremely gamey, but them auto-joining the Allies seems a bit gamey to me as well.
Malus to mission efficiency due to lack of range of your planes to cover the area. What do the black and yellow or red and black stripes/bars mean on an air wing?

Its on your main screen (when you are in your ploitical view). There is a button at the bottom (easily overlooked) - there you can set occupation policies as well as releasign nations.I don't see the option to release in diplomacy.
thanks. You can drop eg a plane in a base and set the total number (click on the limit number of the wing in air base). So by eg. dropping one plane in a wing in an air base, you can set the wing size to eg 200. AI will autofill the wing then.
I'm wondering if it is possible to turn facist as UK, leave the allies and join the axis, is it?
Capital as in capital city? Yes an no.Can a country stop having a capital?
Any idea how/why UK and USA are randomly taking control of land that I (USSR) have occupied without giving me any say in it?
USA Just nicked Prague and UK suddenly got a massive chunk of Romania from me for no apparent reason...
