Here's the situation: I am playing Germany. I can't get air superiority over (occupied by me) Northern France, losing over 50 fighters per day. So I check to see who is doing this to me. Turns out none of the Allies have ANY fighters assigned to Norther France.
Can anyone explain this, please?

Is there a way to see logistics how many reserve weapon systems by type? eg how many of my 1000s of infantry weapons reserve are type 1 and type 2 ?

is there a way to assign aircraft to air bases automatically? i thought i saw in a www dan do it but i cannot seem to find it.
You can drop eg a plane in a base and set the total number (click on the limit number of the wing in air base). So by eg. dropping one plane in a wing in an air base, you can set the wing size to eg 200. AI will autofill the wing then.

Does "Increase infantry division damage/defense" also increase for special units like mountaineers? Arent they also considered infantry? Or do they just mean regular infantry units. So confusing
Yes also increases for special units. Mountaineers, marines and paratroopers are infantry too.

How can I prevent fronts from splitting? During my last game as Britain fighting Germany my one continuous border versus them was split into about 6 different fronts and there was no way to make it one continuous front. It makes it quite difficult and time consuming to organise units with this, you have to make individual plans for each front when all you really want is one.

EDIT: See here and here for an example of this.

No chance. You can not set fronts over different states. So the split always happens. Also one front to one enemy can also split, thus making your plan fail. Thats where your intervention is needed in game.

Is there a way to set up army subgroups? I'm not totally sure what the proper terminology would be but here's an example:

As Germany i've conquered quite a bit of land and have made cavalry divisions with MP's in order to maintain order, about six 24-division stacks of them. Is there any way that I can set up a Field Marshal with overall command of all the occupation forces and only see his portrait along the bottom of the screen? I don't actively use those divisions and they only exist to keep order. Seeing all of the individual armies is kind of cluttering up the screen.
Make a new theatre for Garrison?

The AI may be a bit... slow. But if there was anything I learned from my Spain playthrough, is that infantry weapons are worth their weight in gold. I'd send those instead, if able. Especially if it kicks off in Feb '36 like I've seen a lot lately.

Sending planes also give air XP, so sending planes also makes sense

low reliability of your planes? Upon every start and landing of a wing, reliability is checked. So loads of planes and low reliability kills your planes easily.

That could be it. They're standard level-1 fighters (BF109) and it's october 1940.

What planes are the Allies using in Northern France? Bombers? In this game, bombers will generally kill fighters 1 vs 1 because fighters have low armor, heavy fighters do a much better job at killing bombers. Basically, the air war is a rock paper scissors deal where Fighters>Heavy Fighters>Bombers>Fighters.

Should I use intercept or air superiority to defend myself from enemy bombers?
Intercept goes for the bombers. Try to use heavy fighters against bombers. Day mission only has been working ok for me.
air superiority goes after fighters.

German game going rather well.
Still have a little bit more than one year before the "time is on our side" achievement.
I have only one non-fascist country in the world: Sinkiang as a puppet of the Neo-Ottoman Empire.

Question is simple: with influencing their leading party (fascist currently stands around 51%) would I be able to change it to fascist or puppet cannot change and Turkey doomed my attempt with its silly puppet?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

What do the black and yellow or red and black stripes/bars mean on an air wing?

There's a post on this a couple of pages up the thread.

That's not how Quick Questions works. Answer the question or don't, and if you want to reference other threads or posts, certainly do it. Anything else is clutter and doesn't help the asker.

Example, this is the post Stevieboy1981 needed:
Not sure on the first, but I never send anything that I want to get back anyhow.

On the second, that means that the airwing is currently assigned a mission area that it cannot fully cover, and is thus operating at lower efficiency (if the yellow were red, the coverage would be even worse).

I can confirm that you can fail the "new world order" achievements due to one stubborn puppet... currently at 75% of fascist leaning in Sinkiang, still non-aligned and no way to invade...
Damn, will have to conquer the world again without any allies this time :D
