Are units there? Then it was an invasion and you should throw em out.

No units there? Your allies crushed them, but didnt take your land back. You have to grab your land back fast since they will prod units to crush ya :)

It wasn't my land, it was Axis land that I had occupied but for no apparent reason the occupation switched from myself to UK/USA.

There were no axis troops anywhere near, I had troops guarding the border to be safe anyway, and I watched the entire region of Muntenia just flip to UK right before my eyes very suddenly and without any warning.

Ohhh of course there is a reason, but that one is slightly more complex:
1. If you are allied and eg Romania has been eaten by Axis, by then conquering the territory actually sets *your ally* Romania free again.
2. If lets say GB is your ally and GB was first at war with Axis, by then it becomes difficult. To me it seems: first claims first. On a sidenote, which I need to test: I assume you need to be yourself at war, not as an ally. When you are not at war, you just occupy for your ally. Then again I had instances, where just attacking from another direction flipped the result.

You see: 2nd case I am still testing myself, its where it becomes weird to me right now.

They shuld have joined the comintern in my opinion. This could be a bug that should be reported. If you have a save from before they joined the allies, maybe you can use the command ai_accept and then invite them. They should say yes. There is also the allowdiplo command which may allow you to use greyed out diplo alternatives.

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate the heads up on the console commands as well.

How would I go about reporting that as a bug, please?

1/ Is it possible to prevent Spain entering the war ? In all of my games, Nationalist (or Republican) join Axis or Comintern in 1940...

2/ Italy enter the war against France and Britain too early...so you can conquer Libya without opposition as italian troop try to conquer France by the South (and late 1940, i can parade in Rome -i'm playing the UK-).
Why did Italy do that ?

3/ Vichy France ?? (it didn't launch or only control european french territory etc...) it's not really well done... did i miss something ?

Is there a way for me to stop the AI from randomly declaring wars on unreachable countries, even if it's a cheesy one? It really breaks the game for me, when my European allies declare on some newly created asian neutrals.

How do you unlock slots in a province to build more factories/naval yards? The tooltip doesn't give an explanation as to how you accomplish this.

Thanks

Which support companies can be paradropped?

All - you can see the parachue symbol on each support unit in division designer (upper right corner of each support unit).

I have a paradrop mission selected with 8 paratroopers, the arrow is active and flashing. Its been 2 months and the paradrop has not happened. There is no tool tip to tell me how long its going to take like with naval invasions (example 0/72 days left to prepare). Could you tell me how long the paradrops take, from start to finally occuring? This is driving me nuts how hard it is to find useful information about this game.

Does planning a naval invasion at the same time, delay the paradrop mission?

Normally almost instantly. You probably lack air superiority (needs 70%+)

Not even any enemy planes around, I have 100% air superiority, where should my transport planes be? in the airport standing by, or over the air in the province I want to drop in, does planning a naval invasion at the same time, delay other plans like it does with planning multiple naval invasion plans?

  1. Are you sure, your division template shows the paradrop symbol?
  2. Are your paratroopers at full ORG?
  3. Are the transport planes in airport on standby?
  4. Did you assign the drop properly? (shows the arrow, number of paratroopers and number of transport planes)? Also when you set source and destination, you confirm by pressing enter when doing the battle plan.

I think its just a bug, if I assign the mission to the paratroopers while NOT standing in the airport area, then they move to the airport and do the paradrop, If I assign the paratroopers to do a paradrop while in the airport, it never fires. Strange as hell. Playing as Japan, wonder if its a Japan only bug.

Edit: Actually try this, paradrop from Tohoku airport in eastern japan to South Sakhalin island where Japs have half the island and Russians have half the island. Wont work, even at peace with everything perfect.

Yeah- : Actually try this, paradrop from Tohoku airport in eastern japan to South Sakhalin (nearby), the island where Japs have half the island and Russians have half the island. Wont work, even at peace with everything perfect.
