How do I move my troops from one port to an other if I have a land connection ?

As Germany I own the balkans and am at war with Italy. I took control of the port of Abruzzo with a naval invasion, and now I would like to reinforce this front by sending more troops from my ports in the balkans, but whenever I try to do that my army just wants to go there by land up north through the ennemy lines...

Try marking your troops while they are standing in a port province and then rightclick on the port symbol of the province where you want to send them to.

I have a question about airbases and their size limit.

I upgraded an airbase to 10/10 (actually I upgraded a couple of them). I noticed with this particular one that the amount of planes that could be based there did not increase. It stayed at 200.

Can someone please tell me if they have noticed this and why it would happen? If it is a bug, I will report it.

Thanks

anyone?

Wasn't there supposed to be a strategy guide when you pre-order, or am I imagining things?

Hi,

Why when I add divisions to a land army that already has orders (like front line),those do not inherits current army's orders ?
Am I clear ?

I always have to rebuild the frontline etc, boring :s

Thx

If you set the units to be automatically added to the order when they're built, they will be added to the order as well. If these are existing units that you've manually added to the amry, they won't automatically get added to the order.

You can add the divisions to the order by selecting the divisions and CTRL+Left Click on the order. This way you don't have to rebuild the entire battle plan.

Hey HoI veterans, I have a quick question:

>america is in a civil war
>free states (facists) are in my faction
>I invade the democratic states and do 99.9% of the work
>war ends and I'm at the peace table with 42 points no option to choose anything in demo America
>conference ends and free states get everything

What? How do I stop this ridiculousness?!

Don't accept a nation with cores on something you want into your faction.

You can still end up with some weirdness, but by involving them in your faction at the start of your fight, you pretty much guarantee they get it all.

Sorry if Im asking an basic question but are you mistaking the max squadrom size for a airbase capacity limit?

Could anyone tell me what: "Subversive Activities Upkeep" means? It's one of the traits of Leon Trotsky. I managed to get him as the SU, but his other traits and the risk of a civil war which drains my country of quite a bit of her army seems like a terrible decision.

Also, as the Soviet Union. Do I have to manually fabricate claims on the Baltics and Romania to trigger the events where I get the land without war?

I've been a hearts of Iron fan since hoi2, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why I'm not steam rolling Poland as Germany like I have in HOI2 and HOI3. I would have basically 20 or so divisions(mixture of motorized and tanks) fighting against 3 polish divisions(of only regular infantry) and it says the battle will take 50+ days. That's ridiculous since I have 1939 tanks and equipment researched as well as organization/strength full, and ahead in land doctrine. At first I thought it was because I didn't have generals assigned to my troops(I forgot to assign some to begin with), but even when I did that, the ridiculous battle length was still there. If anything I should be able to defeat all of Poland in this battle time of almost 2 months, not just defeat them in one province.

Is there something I'm missing? I have another saved game as the US, and I was often able to win battles with 1 division against 1 division in a week. How is 20 versus 3 as Germany versus Poland taking longer than a month when one US division defeated 1 Japanese division in 1 week?

I've been trying to figure out how to create a faction as a neutral non-align nation in historical 1939 so I am able to get the Technology Sharing national focus.

I've gone through the focus tree via the Liberty Ethos => Neutrality Focus => How We Fight and currently am stuck there.

As an neutral non-align nation I am not able to attract anyone to my faction nor am I am able to puppet anyone (require Fascist or Communist Government).

So far I think I would need to defeat someone with a puppet in order to get their puppet or in reality slowly convert to Fascism/Communism to join their the Axis or Comintern (both are not ideal as I wish to remain neutral and non-align to the major factions).

Any tips? I'm playing as Nat China.

I'm currently playing the US and I have problem with my convoys.

For some reason way more convoys are used than I would need to. The tooltip says I'm using 977/576 convoys for supply and trade. Is there any solution to this?

I see threads about battle statistics (especially for the air war) -as in how many planes were loss, etc. I also would like to see battle results, casualty reports, equipment losses etc. I cannot, for the life of me, find where this information is hidden. Can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks!

When Japan declares war on you, there should be an event for an alliance with the communists, constituting a faction consisting of you two, I believe. Are you at war with Japan?
