If you really need NAV bombers on huge sea zone, you also have carriers.

Not sure what you mean here. NAVs cannot base off carriers. And if you are going to commit an entire CTF to a single seazone, then it sorta makes the NAVs an afterthought.

In the search panel, on the NAV images you have a little icon of a carrier on the top right corner. This allow you to search a carrier based version of the NAV bombers. But again it's research time expensive. You need search carrier. NAV bombers for carriers are quick to search (around 60 days ). There is a post about "Uncatchable fleet of Ninja Carrier" (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/heroic-cv-action.959545/) So maybe there's is a way to use carriers for what you want to do (but you give us few infos ;) )

Maybe you don't mean the same thing as NAVs (what do you mean?). Naval Bombers definitely can be carrier-capable, which is what he meant. It's actually a really important unit type for carriers.

Either way, he's not wrong. If your naval bombers are looking for targets of opportunity along the coast, just don't worry about their range problem. Increase it with upgrades when you can, deploy other wings to other airfields for better coverage as well. If you actually NEED full coverage over a huge sea zone, you need a fleet. Period.

Are there beaches in the game or can you naval invade anywhere?
Any coastal province (or provinces) you like, no specially designated beaches.

Of course, invading some places in the face of difficult terrain is likely to be a bad idea on top of the amphibious assault penalty.

Right next to a port is usually good, as the port itself is often defended.

Playing my first game as Germany, historical focus. Won the war against the Allies, and just defeated USSR.
Surprise: The British Empire is justifying a war against me. They held on to Fiji and are a puppet of Japan.

So, will they declare war on me, breaking up the Axis by dragging Japan into this war? Or are puppets not able to declare war?
And who will Italy join IF this war can happen?

I just want to know where I have to place my troops now.

Thank you kindly for answering.

I’m fairly sure ENG won’t be able to declare the war at all. They shouldn’t even be able to do regular justifications: this one is from a national focus. So this is just the NF trees being brittle as hell.

Trade interdiction is good for surface ships in spotting prey and escaping threatening enemy, especially if given orders appropriate to the moment.

So if i was to go surface navy germany to fight britiain I should probably switch over to Fleet in Being? I wasent sure since trade interdiction gave good bonuses to light crusisers

Yes for conventional surface navy with land-based air support. Focusing on carriers given the restricted waters near Germany seems problematic because they can so easily be hit by land-based air.

I guess what im trying to ask is it ok to keep trade interdiction as my naval doctrine when trying to make a powerful surface fleet as Germany or am i just sabotaging myself in the back?

Highest priority should always be an enemy port. Supply wins wars, as several irl military leaders have said. Of course the big ones should be well defended, the key is to try to take a smaller one, one with enough supply for your reinforcements, to take the bigger one, ala D-Day. Im not satisfied with arial recon in the game, quite lacking, even if you have air superiority. Try subs on the coast for detecting enemy port defenders.

So I'm currently having a very strange problem as Japan with naval invasions. I have 3 armies of marines. 6 marines in each army. I'm at peace. I want to put two of the armies on a naval invasion plan so that once war is declared they can launch immediately. But, the game isn't allowing me to do this. Once I have one naval invasion planned, any others will not allow divisions to be attached to them. My only guess is that you can only have 1 naval invasion planned if you are at peace. As I have had multiple naval invasions before, but I would be at war. Anyone else noticed this?

I'm guessing you haven't researched advancements in naval transport technology. They are at the VERY bottom of the naval tree, you have to scroll to see it. Often overlooked. I even forget to research it at times. Transport level 1 gives you a 10 division max for invasions. You should therefore be able to do 2x 5 divisiion invasions with the current tech. Transport II increases this limit from 10 to 50, and reduces planning by 50%, making it an absolute essential for JAP, USA, and ENG, anyone else, a luxury. . Transport III gives increased invasion landing speed and invasion defense, which is vital for heavily defended areas, needed for late war invasions, when there will/should be defenders at EVERY port.

Recommendations for getting Spain into the Axis as Germany? I have finished the Alliance with Spain focus, Nationalist Spain is fascist. I have defeated France and triggered Vichy. We have 100 positive relations. World Tension is at 100.

However I am still a few points negative for them to join. I get a bonus of 35 for strategic reasons to join (I noticed it can go down to 34 too) but there is still a -50 for wars they may be drawn into. I am only fighting the Allies (not even US) right now.

I tried garrisoning 40 troops on the border to maybe get a threatened bonus but that didnt work.

It seems to me the best time to invite people to factions is before war starts? Because the -50 is killer no matter what.

You need to go to the political screen and use "improve relations". This will have a daily political power cost. At the end of the day as Germany, having Spain as axis will hurt you though, it makes a huge area to defend (dont count on the Spanish defending themselves from the USA). Its better to just use paratroopers and naval invade Gibraltar to close the western med, which I assume is why you want them in your faction.

Am I missing something here? How do I not meet the requirements?

The location you are looking at for manpower also shows what you have recruiting, you need to open the army menu and look at equipment details to see actual total manpower in the field. Shortcut is O, or it is on the top right of the screen just under the time.

so trade interdiction dosent help to much in surface fleet battles?
If you can't detect enemy ships, there won't be a battle at all.

Trade Interdiction reduces visibility of ships so surface raiders (not just subs) can thus better hide from enemies seeking them out. It gives bonuses to surface detection so the raiders (surface and sub) can better find convoys.

Once the battle actually starts, I don't know that those stats have any effect on the outcome. They might possibly aid the side that tries to break off combat (because they get damaged, decide they're outnumbered, etc). But if you want to focus on straight-up naval battles, you're better off with Fleet in Being. (Base Strike isn't bad, but Germany will do most of its fighting around Europe, where you have a lot of land-based air cover. You might still want carriers, especially in late phases where you wind up in the US or Australia or somewhere, but you don't necessarily have to focus on them.)
