Yes, we are adjusting things for both China and the USSR in the next version - the AIs are all undergoing a substantial upgrade in any case. Plus we have done some specific amendments to those countries that were having problems (like SOV & CHI) in order to get things running more "historically" in the typical game.

I'm happy :D .

hey i just got the germans to back down on the rhineland thing, and i think france should get a bigger dissent reduction from it, the one i got wont even cover the dissent i took to get them to back down...

Building a tank unit as Yugoslavia is going to be tricky - it will require a lot of research effort, not to mention using a lot of IC in due course. You'll need to start by researching one of the Tank brigades on the Land Doctrines tech screen, IIRC.

The huge amounts of resources which can be stockpiled before the war, particularly oil, is not very realistic. Fuel consumption was very high during peace time also. So, without any knowledge of what is moddable or not, I propose a "oil" cost for IC. Perhaps 1/2 oil per IC, or maybe even 1/4. During war time, the oil requirements for IC (and civilian uses) could be halved again. It would be necessary to increase oil production to allow for much of the added consumption.

Oil would become much more important under these circumstances-no oil, no industry. One would have to balance military requirements with the industrial requirements. Last but not least, there would be no oceans of oil stocks built up prior to the main war.

Again, I have no idea if this is even possible, or how much work it would be.

BTW, how is the current update coming along?

IC already costs you Oil, for industrialised nations, although we can't add such a cost to newly built IC. All starting IC will cost you Oil, however.

IC cannot be made to "use" oil, however - it will continue to turn out supplies, units, or CG even if you have no Oil. The way we have set it up is to add negative Oil production in IC provinces, as this is the closest we can manage right now.

Is it asking too much that to publish 2 versions? One compatible with DD then the other with Armageddon. Mod 33 is built like this so I guess it can be done.

I read you want to make full use of the new functions of Armageddon but why not along the way release a "lighter" version for DD which would still be an improvement regarding the 0.3.2?

Version 0.3.2.3 was DD/ARM compatible, so yes, it's doable. But we really want to utilize the naval brigades ARM offers, so that's why we're fully migrating towards ARM. Supporting two versions would mean maintenance for two versions, and as the ARM functionality is interwoven into the new tech tree it would be quite a headache to fully support, and would slow further development considerably. With the ARM upgrade costing only $5 why go to such lengths?

Yes I read about it, thank you. I understand the issue. Maybe so, but this out of the subject, can you advice me where I can get it? Because in the Philippines I do not know any website such as amazon delivering. Besides my whole game is in iso... maybe can I download the iso for Armageddon somewhere?

You can download it at www.gamersgate.com. It's an add-on to your DD install rather than a full version. I don't think it's actually distributed other than via direct download.

I didn't found a place to report bugs so I'm sorry if this message is in a wrong place. Anyway I have started my first CORE (V 0.3.2.3) campaign ever with USA and have found a couple of bugs. US Navy leader Withers has skill 1096, which should probably be 4096. Interesting combo anyway (winter specialist, fortress buster, seawolf):) Another possible one I found is that the port of Manila is located on the east coast but the ships move via the west coast.

SUGGESTION:

Country Finland

There should be huge political fallout(dissident hit) if finnish forces extend beyond Karelia or are used against other democracies.
Given the facts of the Continuation War I can see why you're proposing this change. I don't know whether it's possible to do (I'm usually doing the graphics rather than this level of scripting), or whether it will have priority over other things, but your proposition is historical. :)

Also.. given my current game with SOV, It would be nice if there was a event fired when allies land in france, I noticed it about over month late in my game :D

I am not scripter, but if any of those coastal regions swithc hands there could be even like "Allied landings start in eurepe" and if they manage to hold or not to hold em for(in) certain period it would continue with proper event announcements :)

(just came to my minds, but should not casualties affect on dissident or is war exhaustion too much war game? :))

Rail guns for Germany

I don't have any documentation for this at the moment, but I seem to recall the Germans using some huge Rail guns for various fortification reductions, Brest-Livotsk among them...

Vaguely wondering if they might be incorporated into the mod at some point. It would be a bit problematic since the game doesn't have a good way of dealing with the rail gauge differences between western and eastern Europe.

Bug report for Core 0.3.2.

There is a river connection between Hofn in Iceland and Surovikino in USSR. I strongly believe, that there shouldn't be one. ;)
Fixed for 0.4.0 IIRC. Thanks for spotting though! :)

It's a well known bug - there are several other "odd" connections like it, as well, due to a corrupted adj-defs.csv file. There is a thread that details the affected erroneous links somewhere, though I don't recall its' location offhand, sorry.
