For me, non-Egal / non-Phile allows enough control that I don't need to be Phobe.

It is restrictive but there's still a lot of distinct combos in the Auth / Mat / Spi / Mil / Pac space -- and even Phobe has some fun potential with Pompous Purists (which allows you to be Phobe but not use the "Xenophobe Playstyle").

I’m going to be honest, I quite enjoy Xenophile. Not because I’m the good guys, but because so I can make everyone like me to manipulate them into commercial pacts.

My favorite variety of xenophile to play is a megacorp intending to synthetically ascend that gets enormous immigration pull from branch offices and suctions the entire population of anyone foolish enough to befriend me into empty ecumenopolii, never to be seen again.

Yeah Synth assimilation really does cover the problem of Xenophile.

And if someone sends you Erudite Overtuned Cyborgs you can just not assimilate those.

But your name implies the same amount of spamming, only that the spammed empire can be described as "Humanity Fuck Yeah militarist xenophobe purge all filthy xenos because humans rule!" :p

This is actually what ChatGPT assumed when I didn't add the word "players", thinking I was taking about strategies.

To be clear, did it just make that up or did you actually suggest that in 2017? Sounds like the AI rebellion, but still pretty neat it so.

It's made up. If ChatGPT doesn't know something but you ask it a true/false question it will pretend it does. Here's an example:

I didn't bother to make an account so the only version I can use is "ChatGPT 4o mini". Perhaps the more advanced versions that require an account don't have this flaw. Or maybe they all do.
