My estimate is that it was a fleet composed of ships designed and built by the AI.

That's... not actually a bad loadout, extremely early in the game. A short range anti-armor weapon, plus a much longer range anti-shield weapon, is a good combo.

Compared to laser+kinetics, siphons and T1 PD has the same anti-shield DPS as T2 mass drivers, with an extra 10 range, and the same anti-armor/hull damage of T3 lasers (though with 10 less range).

Energy siphons become obsolete, but that's just because they have no advanced equivalents (except null void beams). And point defense continues to be a solid S-slot replacement until the end (though S-slot themselves become obsolete except as filler).

Exactly.
As far as I'm aware of, both AI-made ships and AI-assembled "auto loadouts" for player's ships tend to use technologies which the power have unlocked recently.
Like, the moment I unlock Siphons - auto builder sticks these everywhere.
Same goes for Point Defence. No, I don't need whole swarm of corvettes with 3x point defence...
Since both techs can (and tend to) be unlocked closer to midgame, AI can both offer and use these two when it's now wise to use these two.
Like, you might fail to find a wildlife needed for siphons in time, especially with current limits on exploration science ships and amount of stray hostile junk flying around.
And Point Defence... who even prioritizes blasted Point Defence if technologies integral for so many other areas belong to this category?

Everything is more fun with Psionics. Cosmogenesis included.

Except the Animator of Clay is as strong as the other Shroud patrons (he's the twin brother of the Composer of Strands) and the Cosmogenesis ending shows you're still not on their level. It would be more accurate for the Galactic Nemesis ending.

If my Memory serves me right... potential numerous spoilers to Cosmogenesis events ahead (like the image wasn't a spoiler, lol)...
Center of Galaxy Cosmogenesis ending implies that ISS "Penetrator" is capable of MULTIPLE jumps (relatively) back to back.
For that ending specifically time between jumps is short DESPITE surroundings being... quite hostile AND well above of average Sliders enjoyer capabilities.
Obsessive Directive ending capitalizes on that.
Multiple jumps are implying multiple chances to find more sources of power.
And there's also Knights of the Toxic God ending which basically starts a war in the multiverse.
Hmmmmmm, should've added KotTG icon to that...

One thing stands outside of this line though.
Dimensional Horror ending implies that there is no escape (or at least no IMMEDIATE escape) for ISS "Penetrator" once the ship reaches it.
Whatever lives in horror dimension IS powerful.
Shroud Patrons, in comparison, tolerate unexpected guests - us.
Help us get a foothold in Shroud.
How it would gonna end?

Well, Fallen Empires did the very same thing for us, technically.
And History tends to repeat itself.

Can't deny that the meme was sloppy though :)
Whole last week was a damn emotional rollercoaster so I probably have to have some rest before even trying to create anything.
