Is there any place to diskuss changes for the wiki between the editors?
Every (regular) page has an associated discussion page. Users also have their own page/discussion page.

I don't know wether the new style of the wiki is temporary and in work or wether this is the final style.
If the latter, would it be possible to optimize the style not only for those (crazies) playing Stellaris on a smartphone but on a computer with a normal display? Basically as it used to be?
That would be really appreciated and splendid.

And as usual: great work with the wiki and a big thank you to all keeping it uptodate!

edit: I can't imagine wishes get fulfilled within an hour, so I guess changing my cookie-settings for the wiki was the reason why my wiki-display is again very satisfactory.

Hint for comrades in cookie-paranoia: Allowing functional and performance cookies is a good idea. Button for cookie settings in the lower left corner.

New style?

Did you accidentally enable mobile view? There's a button for desktop view at the bottom

Not by myself but it might be that disallowing all cookies might have defaulted to mobile view. Changed that and all is pretty again.
You can also change the mobile/desktop view, regardless of cookies, by clicking on the desired option at the bottom of the article (as was mentioned above).

May you reach your goals in your play session.

Guys.. I am getting an error:
Error contacting the Parsoid/RESTBase server (HTTP 426)

When doing visual edit on https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Buildings. Is it only me or something is wrong with that page? Any idea how to get in touch with the admin of the wiki?

(Linux, Mozilla (last update), no VPNs)

Guys, need help here. Who can I contact to get unbanned from wiki editing? I triggered some trigger, I guess people don't usually do edits hours on end.
It is good that there is a system to protect the work done on the wiki, but this is a bit demotivating when it's you who gets banned.

"This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and you have been prevented from executing it. In addition, to protect Stellaris Wiki, your user account and all associated IP addresses have been blocked from editing. If this has occurred in error, please contact an administrator. A brief description of the abuse rule which your action matched is: Common vandalism #3"

You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
Your username or IP address has been blocked.
The block was made by ‪Abuse filter‬. The reason given is Automatically blocked by abuse filter. Description of matched rule: Common vandalism #3.
Start of block: 07:05, 8 May 2023
Expiration of block: 07:05, 22 May 2023
Intended blockee: ‪Mdemp‬
You can contact ‪Abuse filter‬ or another administrator to discuss the block. You can use the "Email this user" feature if a valid email address is specified in your preferences and you have not been blocked from using it. Your current IP address is 37.252.***.***, and the block ID is #3768. Please include all above details in any queries you make.

If it is a VPN thing, well. Well, the wiki does not open from Armenia for me with my ISP:

Error 426 Unknown Error
Unknown Error
Error 54113
Details: cache-ams21069-AMS 1683530360 3278092078
Varnish cache server

And, yeah, the "Please include all above details in any queries you make" - links to 2 wiki empty pages, so it's a dead end over there.

I unblocked you and restored your edit. I'm not sure why your edit triggered the abuse filter in the first place. Maybe something which was already in the page is causing a false positive.

Need some help, or a hint. How do image versions work in the wiki?
Example: https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/File:UI_tech.png
I was trying to add a new version to the old file, but it only added the thumbnail. Is there a limitation for users to update image versions? What am I doing wrong?

Edit: I just have realized that I need to retake the GUI screenshot, as I have some mods active that alter it. Lol. But this does not remove the problems I had and have with the uploads of new versions.

The image looks fine to me:

Or do you mean that the images is not updated on the pages which use it? That often takes a day, because the cache retains the image.

Ah, thanks for that !

I was accidentally on the mobile view on my desktop, and the Search function was invariably buggy:

MediaWiki internal error.

Original exception: [25cef40546562af09f23ecc4] 2023-05-14 21:24:23: Fatal exception of type "Error"

Exception caught inside exception handler.

Set $wgShowExceptionDetails = true; at the bottom of LocalSettings.php to show detailed debugging information.

But maybe that was because I was on a desktop ?
