Do you use a VPN by any chance?
Could you provide, via a PM, your service provider name (ISP or VPN) and the IP that was/is assigned to you by them?
yes... it was the VPN...

When reading messages of this thread, I have seen that it was opened for contributions... and have think to the VPN that would forbid to track what users do on the wiki

Thank you for the answer anyways ;)

The Wiki gives a Error code back, any suggestions what’s wrong? Solution found: no mobile version , switch to desktop side, solves the problem

I can no longer find information on the Psychic trait, or Chosen of the... or Chosen One.

The wiki just redirects to the "Leader" page, which has no relevant information.

It seems the new tables lack IDs used for redirect and anchoring. I'll make note to add it in some point (though it may be fixed by the time I get to it).

Hi there, I've noticed the wiki has been out of date now for about 5 patches. I'd like to begin a massive overhaul to bring the wiki up to date, but I don't have permissions to make edits. The changes I'd like to make include several goals:
  1. Update and include lots of new information, including updating out of date information.
  2. Improve navigation significantly by embedding links. Lots of pages reference another game object without giving the player any indication it is.
  3. Improve the visual design. I currently cannot upload the .dds files for images in the game, such as origins, to better assist users in visual recognition.
Big examples would include things like -10% empire size is no longer a Harmony/ Synchronity Finisher but is instead now tied to the Kinship tradition. Many buildings and jobs are simply missing altogether. An example of changes for objective 2: A building page on the wiki says "grants +2 of (job)". Every single one of these job titles must include a link to its relevant location in the jobs page, so that brand new players know what's going on. Same thing if an event or situation grants access to a technology, the referenced technology must be linked. In any case, if I cannot personally be given permissions, I will gladly list every single revision here and someone else may add them.

Hi there,

Are you loggen-in when visiting the wiki? -- There's a bug where non-logged users don't see updated content.

In addition:
1. icons act as links on the PDX wiki network.
2. This is a community wiki. All users can edit the wiki (barring limited number of pages which require specific permissions).
3. New users can't upload files or add links in their first action.

I've only started logging in recently.

1. I see. The icons used to not be this way, perhaps logging in has changed this or I never tried clicking them until now (or both). Again from the perspective of a brand new player/ user, even I only knew I could click on blue/ purple text despite being a regular user for years. Perhaps a message on the front of the wiki that indicates icon use?
2. How do I know if a change I make is acceptable, ie. won't be reverted for one reason or another? The guidelines are very general. For example, I think it would be nice to use the origin banners on the origin page rather than icons, or utilize both somehow. How would I know if this change is suitable for the wiki?

Tried fixing a singular typo in the Resources from Jobs table on the Stat modifiers page. ("Chamical" to "Chemical".) Got this: Error contacting the Parsoid/RESTBase server (HTTP 406)

The visual editor bugs out often. Try using the source editor instead.

For 1, there is a note in the beginner's guide about icons usually acting as links.

For 2, you can use your user page (or a sub-page thereof) to test out "major" changes like that. Mostly, as long as any changes are generally improvements in some way they'll be kept or incorporated in the page somehow; beauty of a collaborative wiki project.

In terms of tables like the origins, table width and general readability are the main concerns, as overly wide tables get scrunched on smaller resolutions which typically makes it hard to read the information clearly. That's to say, adding the banners would be neat, but you'll need to make sure it looks good on more than only a large monitor/resolution.

Hope this doesn't count as necro, but tysm for making this! It's been extremely helpful as I learn the ropes of this game.
A little help, what I do is on any particular page is print to .PDF. From these I can rapidly search for individual topics..

Why not open it in a new tab and search there? ;)
Because, with the entire Wiki in one folder I can search without going on-line.

The "Edit" button is not working when saving, not even the Switch to Wikitext button. "Edit Source" directly worked. No VPN.

That's a bug with the visual editor.
Hopefully, it will be fixed soon in the next update.
