Um, Germany isn't ran by a military Genius (he's better in, shall we say, subtler arts), and Poland is ran by a former military genius who now spends most of his time building towers and chewing on royal visitors (of which he recieves very few...)

I did not change Leonardo's DNA before I uploaded it since I didn't see his post until just now, but if Hyzhen is truly horrified by his picture I can change it and repost it.

I did a little testing by the by, and I think Italy's going to be able to take care of herself...
 
One of my employees stepped up, so I happily will not be working tomorrow night. I was so pleased with the news that I have my willing minion a small bonus. Although we ARE showing one of my all-time favorite movies for a midnight this Saturday (12 Monkeys).....

12 Monkeys is an excellent movie :) Definitively one of the three best where Bruce Willis is acting (the other two being obviously 5th element and Pulp fiction; altough in Pulp Fiction BW is IMO not as good as in 12M or 5E).

Next week my wife and kids will visit my mother-in-law for a couple of nights. I'll be sure to use one of those nights to again watch Master and Commander. For some odd reason I have this urge to watch the movie again and again, haven't had that urge since Willow (that's must be 20 years ago, spent all my scarce money to watch that one in the theater for 12 times, and I watched it on VCR until the tape was no good anymore)...

Hrm. I've not seen Master & Commander yet, and I didn't have the same "WOW" effect that you had with Willow. Of course, I watch at least one movie a week in a theater (and I don't pay to see movies), so it might just be that I'm more blaise about movies.

That said, I can safely say that my four favorite movies (the ones I watch over and over) are 12 Monkeys, The Manchurian Candidate (I am horrified that they remade such an excellent film), The Big Lebowski, and The Princess Bride.

I absolutely love Terry Gilliam, and would probably say he's my favorite director. I can't think of a film he's done that's been bad. From the Python stuff to Brazil, from the Fisher King to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, if Gilliam is directing it, it's going to be good.
 
I can't say what my favourite movies are (I like to watch movies, I have some 40 DVD's and about 50 VCR's plus all the ones I've rented first (I like to rent a movie or see it in a cinema first before buying one) and I've had the movie-channel Canal+ for 5 years (mainly because of football, but also for the movies)), but the are movies I've seen at least 10 times, including:

Willow, Alien, Unknown Soldier (a Finnish movie about a machine-gun platoon in the 41-44 war), 7 Samurai, Cross of Iron, Rio Bravo, Holy Grail, Life of Brian, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Unforgiven, The Doors (I *am* a Doors fan...), Seven, Silence of the lambs, Papillon, Leon, Nikita, La fille sur le pont (I think it is called "A Girl on the Bridge" in English), Crouching TIger Hidden Dragon, Master and Commander, 5th Element, 12 Monkeys, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Lola Rennt ("Run Lola Run" in English), Awakenings, Ice Age, Lilo and Stitch.

I don't know what they tell about me, but those are amog my favourites :)

All of Naple's fallen dukes are now loyal to Italy, save those with other lieges (Calabria and Romagna). No extra personal demesne I believe.

I'll probably build it into Leonardo's backstory.
 
A good session again. Too bad for Sterk he wasn't there the last session, I seriously doubt he would have repeated with Burgundy the same mistakes France made the previous session if he had seen them in action :rolleyes:

First France thinks he can walz through England, then Germany and his puppy Hungary try their ting, then stupid AI Croatia. Believe me, even though I have my hands full with rebellers, England still won't miss an opportunity to prod some mainlander buttocks! <GRIN MODE OFF>

Seriously, about next weekends session. Patr said he'll miss the session? I will be in the "Puustock" rock-festival to see some gigs, and probably won't be home until the game-session starts... I had to choose between that and the gaming con "Ropecon" where I think Byak and Solmyr said they are going, so I don't know if they either are fit or available for the session...?
 
Ach, if only you hadn't crashed Jark (at least I think it was you, I don't quite remember)... then my wife wouldn't have died and I wouldn't have had to kill my son to get his wife. Curse you. Oh well, I think maybe I could continue, but instead of me playing Gaelics (which are now quite far away with no France), I could play a Russian or Iberian Kingdom, to counter Poland or England. Too bad I didn't fall apart earlier, then I could have played beloved Poland :( .

Anyway, if I am to play a Russian or Iberian Kingdom, could I continue the de Hauteville line as a made up heir to William? It would be fun to RP and then I would have a purpose to recreate Burgundy. Perhaps the remaining Burgundian lands could be edited away to Pierre de Hauteville?
 
England just looked kickable. :p

As for next weekend, I am going to Ropecon but I will still be able to play if we do. However, if too many people are absent we might as well skip it.

Alternately, if only Pat is absent, we could play and see how badly the AI mismanages Germany. :D :p
 
About weekend, I am either here or in Ropecon. I don't know yet. If I am at Ropecon, I won't be able to play CK in sunday morning. If I am here, I will be able to play. Though if Jarkko and Patrucio are missing, I suggest we don't play next sunday, because Jarkko and Patrucio are our regular hosts...

There are no russian kingdoms, only some principalities. Which are orthodoxes, so they play by different rules than catholics.

Iberian kingdoms are quite small, iirc, so I wouldn't suggest you take one of them. Gaelics are much more significant and strong.

Also Sterk, drop the de Hautevilles, take some other family. Or I demand Piasts be changed into catholic russian Rurikoviches and convert whole Poland to russian. :rofl:

Well, like I said earlier, I can play, though I won't be on my best moods. If I don't get minimum 5 hours of sleep I am usually like bear shot in the arse. You have been warned :p

You're going to spend all your time beating up on your vassals anyways (AGAIN), so I don't see how that should bother us. ;)
 
Look at post 83 :) My precognition said Naples and Burgundy will be destroyed soon. My precognition is however not 100% accurate, as I didn't catch the fate of France ;)
 
After reading the thread, I am interested in try some CK in MP (well, the thread is very fun to read :), you guys got all the blame that I am bothering you now with trying to play)
So, may I join the game? If you agree to that, you can put me anywhere.
