Seems the new pet buying sistem is ridiculously anoying as the AI will attemt to sell you a pet every few days making the mod unplayable..
There being a flag check where the event wouldn't pop up if you already own a pet, would probably easily fix the pet spam, mounts also have the same issue.
It's only a fix if it also accounts for players who don't want a pet/mount for whatever reason.
Well you could add a "Never ask me if I want a pet/mount ever again" option that also gives the flag, at least until the next person you play as, which I think is fair since its not like players go through characters every three seconds.

I have a problem, i have downloaded the svn version to the mods file, I select it in the crusader kings launcher, and i just get the vanilla version of the game. I dont understand the problem i tried multiple versions 2.7.2, 2.8.1, and the latest one. but nothing works
You downloaded it into the mods folder in the Documents branch right? Not in the install directory?
