Im using the latest version of the mod, and the latest version of CK2.

Ive installed it correctly (at least it always used to work whenever I installed it this way).

Im not using any other mods.

Ive tried reinstalling the mod from scratch (via SNV), but with no change.

Ok, so it's probably just a "bad" SVN update. Just roll back to the last working revision or keep checking for updates until the devs fix it.

Its been like this for a while. Since Elder kings was updated to 2.8

I checked the logs, I got the following error if that helps:

######## EXCEPTION: 0xC0000005 at address: 0x0086CA60: ACCESS VIOLATION write attempt to address 0x0AC600AC
Version: Unknown Version

Well, it's working for everyone else. Have you updated your SVN?
 
Just so the team knows, the following artifacts do not have an icon:
Code: 
Artifacts without a good icon:
head_crown_aetherial.dds
head_crown_aetherial_small.dds
head_crown_jagged.dds
head_crown_jagged_small.dds
pet_guinea_pig.dds

For the Aetherial crown and the Jagged Crown I know it's because the icon name does not have the same name as what is written in the artifact_icons.gfx, will check for the other too

Edit : Senche-rat was commented out so it doesn't matter if it has an icon or not, my bad for that

Much better with the beautiful icons!

I'm having the same problem as wthree, I have the current version of both the game and the SVN but it's not working. I can start up the game and pick a bookmark and character but when i click play the loading bar starts for a second then it crashes.

Update your .mod file? As in, when you update the SVN copy/paste the .mod file from the folder into the general mod folder, replacing the current one.
 
I'm facing the same issue as x2theone2x and adusturm. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod repeatedly; I'm not really sure what to try fixing going forward. Any help would be appreciated, I love this mod!
 
We don't have access to the Way of the Voice religion anymore? I remember converting to it after a successful pilgrimage as a Nord some months ago, but I can't find it in the mod files anymore. We have a secretely_cult_greybeards in the localisation files, but nothing else (or it's just that I'm blind)
