I would like to see nee nations other the three we have now .Like more realisatic nations from that time like the mesopatamian (i doint know if this is hwo you spell it) and the ancient egypt empire and the hittite empire and the persian empire.

???
How long have you played? More than 120 nations split off sooner or later, many at the Tower of Babel event 9 years in.

yea but the mesoptamian empire was one of the first empires in history

here is a site of the mesopotamian empire:
http://xenohistorian.faithweb.com/worldhis/Hist03a.html
it also fits in the time frame of this mod

Really cool site! I like it!

As for Mesopotamia, it seems to have been a rather fragmented group of city states that Sumer dominated eventually. I think that the Tower of Babel occurred somewhere about 2600 BC, and thus began there, but with the actually united people separated into Shem, Ham, and Japheth. After the tower, the Mesopotamian states declare independence, and Sumer soon gains control... maybe. That is what Shem turns into at that event.\

So I do not believe Mesopotamia was ever really a united empire. If you want to build such an empire, take Sumer after the breakup and do it, if you can :)

Nice quote from the site:
Despite the progress of archaeology, little is known about Mesopotamian history before 2500 B.C.
I wonder why? Maybe because there wasn't any ;) .

The mod theoretically ends at 1000 BC, though since I have not included historical events, that is as yet just an assigned date. Thus the mod ends before the major empires we know alot about form. The Medes for example are in the game, but historically were just a highland tribe of Persia at the end of the scenario (the time of Solomon). Actually, at that time I think Elam was the most powerful of the Persian tribes.

To play Sumer, start as Shem, and at the tower of Babel event you change to Sumer. To play others that break off, the easiest way is to play untill they declare independence, then save and reload as them. I'm still working on events that will allow you to switch in game. They're there, but they only work if you have taken a ton of bad hits in previous events so you have not freed everyone, and still own their "capital province." Then you can switch to that nation and free all others.

Why do I have CTD when Tower of Babel event occurs?
It always happens to me, too. I've managed to find a solution, however. It's not perfect, but works. Save the game just before the breakup event occurs, exit, switch to the "Handsoff country" and reload. Wait a few months, then switch back to the nation you were originally playing.

I am really puzzled as to why that event crashes the scenario. It doesn't always crash for me. I really have no idea what is wrong. Something with the displaying of the effects throws it. Do either of you have any ideas?

I have tried this mod with original EU2.exe and it was fine, no CTD.
But when I used EU2.exe made by tech editor, I got CTD when Tower of Babel event occur.

Aha, progress! And no one can blame me, then. :D Okay, maybe the tech editor causes a bug in the EU2.exe with the latest betas. What do you all think? Mosby, are you running with an exe from the betas, then modded, or is it a vanilla 1.08 .exe modded? We might be on to something here! Thanks LadyFabia!

And yeah, I used last beta.

I have tried to play this mod with 1.08 without beta.
I run Tech Editor at EU2.exe from 1.08 (without beta) and then played this mod.
And I still got CTD when Tower of Babel event occured.
And I don't know what's happened with Tech Editor.

hmmph. I guess you'll have to use the workaround that Mosby mentioned for now, until I can pinpoint the source of the problem.
