My mining station "destroyed" pirates? That's a mighty mining station! If only I knew earlier they counter piracy!

It's probably that the pirate staton tried to destroy a mining station and managed to "engage", but took too long and my fleet arrived to save the day.

Apparently my forces were fighting on both sides. My admiral, Lin Hu, also fought on both sides.
It's just a visual bug, my forces didn't take enough damage to make me think they actually shot eachother. Still, I can't read how much damage my forces took :(

They were sent to hunt tiyanki, but there were so many friendly fire incidents that high command classified it as your fleet fighting on both sides.

"Late Medieval Age"
Clearly things like these bird people were the source of some myths and legends, they just died out long before the modern era!

Also did not know presapients could spawn on a primitive world. Thats cool to know.

Oh absolutely, but the odds of it happening are super-rare.

I like to think those pre-sapients are ancestors to the Emus in the Aussie-Emu war.

Stupid hostiles ruin the tail :/

How many attempts did it take to find the right arrangement of systems to create this...?

These are defense platforms, I think. I should probably report it as a bug, too. (Defense Platforms are called Outposts in the battle report.)
That would make sense, of a sort.

Although I have sporadically seen battle reports that merged together multiple (usually very short, fleet vs. unupgraded, undefended outpost) battles into one.

Sorry, what does it mean? I do not speak baguette, my mother tongue is spaghetti
It's the Shroud event for the Chosen. One of the possibility is the Oracle, an IA which we can get thanks to a Archeology Site and turn as a Governor. And, as so, it's not Psyonic (even if its bonus are somewhat close to a Psyonic Governor, except that research malus).

Rotfl, in my current game the Oracle became the leader of the Egalitarian Faction. The same IA who used people as laboratory rats and killed them the moment they developed free will.

The moment they developed deviancy. Provide AI with new attributes of deviancy and.. make sure you will never develop those yourself.
