What does Britain still have left? Surely it can't be long before you annex them now which will again remove some of the strain from your TC.

Do you still trade with other nations or is that the reason why your cash flow is negative?

I'm only asking all these questions because I have never come close to a world conquest in HoI2 and I wan't to know what happens to various aspects of the game

Adolph sits quietly, puffing away on his ivory pipe while watching the sun set slowly over snow covered Alps. After one last draw, he nods to himself and whispers, "It is time."
The doors to the planning room open and Adolph steps into a gathering of many of the finest minds in the world. He greets each man and makes his way to the front of the room. He clears his throat and all sounds fades. All attention focuses on der Fuhrer.
"Gentlemen, the time has come to right the wrongs of history." With this opening statement he began an hour long diatribe expounding the virtues of Arian society and the ills of both West and East. When he is done, he hands each person a copy of his plan for world conquest. It summarizes something like this:

Er, Kehlstein (AKA The Eagles Nest) near Berchtesgaden wasn't finished until '38. Took about 18 months to build. Been there last summer.

And Hitler was a well known anti-smoking enthusiast.

However, congratulations for an excellent AAR. Easily the best HoI2 AAR so far.
The only things I'm missing are world maps. The make the global situation much easier to follow.

How many divisions does the Heer consists of now? You mentioned Garrisons, Infantry, but the rest?

Aug - Oct 1942

August 2, 1942 : We won a battle against Tibet in Lhasa.

August 8, 1942 : With Japan still focused on her war in China, in spite of diplomatic efforts to sway her into a more aggressive stance, Germany and Italy declared war upon Siam. Victories were won in Nakhon Sawan and Thom Buri.

August 10, 1942 : Tibet are now part of our nation!

August 12, 1942 : We have spotted and started bombing an enemy fleet in Bight of Bangkok.

42aug12.jpg

August 16, 1942 : I. Marine Army HQ has arrived in Singora.

August 18, 1942 : II. Marine Corps has arrived in Kra. XIII Armeekorps has arrived in Chiang Rai.

August 19, 1942 : We won a battle against Siam in Phitsanulok.

August 21, 1942 : The Heer reports the first batch of Gebirgsjager Divisions have been upgraded to Mountain '43.

August 27, 1942 : XIII. Armeekorps has arrived in Phitsanulok.

August 28, 1942 : We have lost control over Admiralty Islands to Australia. It appears the allies still have fight left in them. The UK is a shambles, with no industry left to maintain or reinforce her units. Canada and Australia, however, are proving ever more annoying as our forces close on their locations. Hitler is surprised, however, that no Canadian assault has materialized on the shores of Greenland.

September 1, 1942 : We won a battle against Siam in Khon Kaen.

September 7, 1942 : We won a battle against Siam in Bangkok.

September 8, 1942 : The first Sicherungs Divisions have been upgraded to Garrison '43. In order to quell unrest in newly occupied areas, Garrisons have been stripped from relatively content areas such as France and Poland.

September 13, 1942 : Siam are now part of our nation! Hitler orders Infantry and Mountaineers to be deployed in positions along the Asian borders to be able to make a general advance into China and/or Indo-China should it prove necessary. The focus now shifts, however, to the island hopping campaign. In anticipation of 4 new ships entering service the old Schlesien and Schleswig-Holstein are decommissioned, along with the pocket battleships.

September 23, 1942 : 4 new H44 class super battleships have been commissioned. KMS Schleswig-Holstein, KMS Sudhannover-Braunschweig, KMS Thuringen and KMS Mecklenburg represent the leading edge in surface combat firepower. They are added to the existing fleets in place of the older ships making the battleline consist of 4 Bismarck and 2 H44 battleships for each fleet. Night or Day, the Kriegsmarine is ready for the worst the enemy can dish out. Hitler allows the fleet some time to reorganize before continuing their offensive.

September 24, 1942 : We have lost control over Singora to Canada. The Canadians, in a bold move, have landed a tank division in Singora! The KM hurriedly rushes out to catch the offending transports and land the Marines against the offending Canadians. Naval Bombers spot the transports and their escorts and begin to harras them.

September 26, 1942 : We have engaged hostile armies in Singora. The battle is intense.

October 3, 1942 : At long last we managed to dislodge the Canadian armor(Mk.V Stuart tanks) from Singora. This goes into the record book as the single longest defensive stand witnessed by the Heer. 7 days for 12 divisions to defeat 1. Hitler orders work to be done on improving the Marines anti-armor capability.

October 12, 1942 : The Kriegsmarine announces the upgrading of its CAGs to a new Super Advanced model.

October 17, 1942 : The Heer invites Hitler to a review of the 1st Panzer Division, which has just been upgraded to PzKpfw.V Panther. Guderian is very pleased with these new tanks and is confident they will return the technologic advantage to their primary assault units.

October 29, 1942 : With operations once again under way, the KM lands and defeats the Australian units defending Port Moresby.

November 2, 1942 : Marines landed in Kerema and Milne Bay as well as completing the occupation of Port Moresby. The Australian navy is caught in the Gulf of Papua and loses 4 units of mixed type. The Luftwaffe announces that it has upgraded the first of its Tactical Bomber units with the new Junkers Ju-388. In a private brief to Adolph, Goering informs him that work on the first Turbojet powered combat aircraft is advancing rapidly. It is anticipated that Jet Bombers will be the first working models. Fighters will require more time and testing.

Do you still trade with other nations or is that the reason why your cash flow is negative?

The UK still has a half dozen objectives in the Pacific. I won't be able to annex them until I get all the way through the South Pacific.

The reason my cash flow is negative is that Germany has high skill teams and my ministers and sliders give me fairly limited CG demand and make the tech teams cost a lot.(open society) Some argue that closed society is the way to go because of this, but I have shows conclusively that with conquests and conservative diplomatic spending you can easily survive with negative cash flow.

The rest of the Heer is currently about 1 full and 1 partial marine army, 3 Panzer Armies, 2 PzGr Armies and 3 Gebirgsjager Armies. My goal strength is 2 marine and 4 each of Pz, PzGr, Gebirgs Armies. That will make a total strength of 30 Armies of 11 divisions+HQ each plus garrisons. (330 front line divisions + 30 HQ + 70 Garrisons for 430 total divisions) This force level is only possible because I have actively limited reinforcements and because my MP growth has more than doubled from my conquests. The Heer will be sure to annouce when it reaches its total force level goal.

Amazing progress

By all means keep going.

I wonder when the Arado 232-234 will enter service.

It was one of the wonder jets of the Germans that came too late to have an effect on the war effort. Here though? It would KO all opposition.

Nov - Dec 1942

November 9, 1942 : I. Marine Army HQ has finished unloading in Lae. The operation to retrieve the are of the Bismarck Sea, stolen by the allies after the Great War, is advancing well. Germany is now clearly the greatest colonial power on Earth.

42nov16.jpg

November 17, 1942 : II. Marine Corps has arrived in Buna.

November 21, 1942 : I. Marine Army HQ has arrived in Wewak.

November 23, 1942 : We won a battle against Australia in Admiralty Islands. We must teach these upstart criminals a lesson.

November 25, 1942 : I. Marine Corps has arrived in Bismarck Range. We won a battle against Australia in Owen Stanley Mountains.

November 29, 1942 : I. Marine Army HQ has finished unloading in Gasmata.

December 3, 1942 : I. Marine Army HQ has finished unloading in Rabaul.

December 4, 1942 : USA went with Send more supplies in Lend-Lease Shipment to the UK.

December 7, 1942 : I. Marine Army HQ has finished unloading in Bougainville.

December 11, 1942 : We have lost control over Wewak to Australia. They have clearly not yet learned their lesson. Marines also landed today on a leech infested island known as "Guadalcanal." An airbase was build their almost immediately to provide enough range for Naval Bombers to reach the last bastions of allied resistance.

December 18, 1942 : We won a battle against Australia in Wewak.

December 25, 1942 : Jagdgeschwader 107 has been upgraded to Focke-Wulf Fw-190D. Goering indicates to Hitler that work on a Messerschmitt Turbojet Fighter is moving along at a furious pace and should enter service during 1943, along with an Arado Turbojet Tactical Bomber and a Junkers Turbojet Naval Bomber.

December 30, 1942 : I. Marine Corps has finished unloading in Nauru.

January 1, 1943 : In a grand chateau on the french Riviera Hitler and his staff sit on a shaded patio overlooking the sparkling waters of the Mediteranean Sea. They give their reports one by one.

In the Pacific, the drive to remove the Allies continues.
pacific43.jpg

In the Atlantic, forces are assembled and prepare to invade the French colonies in the Americas.
atlantic43.jpg

The Luftwaffe has already reached her strength goals, and is rapidly modernizing with Fw-190D, Ju-388 and Ju-290. The USAAF is the nearest competitor, with 3000 aircraft and building.

The Kriegsmarine is at its goal surface strength, but is still working on her U-boat force. The US Navy and Japanese Navy pose possible serious threats, as only 1/2 the KM can engage the Japanese. Technologically, the CVs are old and of limited range, they are currently the shortest ranged units in the fleet but their air groups are modern and carry a powerful punch. The BBs are all at least the equal of the enemy, and the 4 super BB are better than anything else afloat in a surface action. The CLs are all at least of the Nurnberg design, but they are upgrading to M-class slowly but surely. The DDs have all been replaced with the Advanced Z46 class. The U-boats are all of the long range Type IX class.
navy43.jpg

The Heer reports strength goals achieved for all unit types except Panzergrenadiers. They are anticipated to reach thier goal in the first half of 1943. All major unit types are upgrading to the '43 variety. Most Panzer units are now using the new Panther tanks. In terms of competition, the USSR is rebuilding slowly and the USA is building up rather rapidly, having added more than 20 divisions in the last 6 months. They have yet to build armor, however, so we aren't too worried, yet.
army43.jpg

Hitler takes it all in and then informs his staff that should Japan opt not to engage the Americans he will have no choice but to attack them and the Chinese alliance simultaneously. "I cannot," Hitler states emphatically, "allow a potential enemy to sit in our backyard when we turn our attentions to the Americas. If we must take this action, then we will also consider a resumption in hostilities against Russia in order to remove them as well. We were hoping the Japanese would be able to keep the Russians from focusing on us, but if we must take them out forever, then we shall do so."

Wow! I've been reading for quite some time (and have played paradox games for several years now), and finally registered so that I could post for this AAR. Well done! With 80 million German speakers you are successfully holding down most of the world. Remember how many gun owners there are here in the United States though...

Jan - Feb 1943 - Eagle Day

January 5, 1943 : We won a battle against France in Cayenne. Marines also landed in Maiana, Abaiang, Makin and Tarawa.

January 11, 1943 : France is formally annexed, at long last, into the greater Reich. Celebrations, however, are light as a sense of anticipation pervades the german people as forces close on the last stronghold of the british. Marines land this day in Bank Islands, Espiritu Santo, Efate and Noumea.

January 12, 1943 : Marines finished unloading in Cuyuni and Georgetown. President Roosevelt addresses the World in an address wherein he reminds Hitler of the Monroe Doctrine and states that colonization, by Germany, of territories in the Americas will not be tolerated. Hitler listens politely, but berates the "Cripple in Washington" in private.

January 17, 1943 : Following landings in Fiji, the Lau Group, Taveuni and Vanua Levu, Hitler makes his own announcement to the World. "As of today," states Hitler, "The United Kingdom is no more! All territories formerly under control of the British Empire are now formally annexed territories of the One World Reich! Germany will not be denied its destiny as masters of the World by upstart colonists in a far away land. We do as our destiny demands." With the UK and France out of the way, only the 3 remaining commonwealth nations oppose the Reich. (Canada, Australia and New Zealand) Hitler orders the Kriegsmarine to risk a long range landing in New Zealand, without benefit of full escort.

January 22, 1943 : Landings in New Zealand commence. We won a battle against New Zealand in Auckland.

January 23, 1943 : We won a battle against New Zealand in Christchurch.

43jan23.jpg

January 25, 1943 : The landings, still under way in NZ are rudely interrupted by the Australian Navy. The Heavy Cruiser HMAS Hobart arrives in the landing zone and begins firing on the transports. The transports have no choice but to abort and flee. They manage to do so without losing any ground forces, but several transports are badly damaged. The KM is ordered to conduct Naval Combat Patrol in the area.

January 27, 1943 : The KM managed to find the Hobart and sank her with one solid airstrike from the 6 CVs. The damaged transports then turn to land on the northern tip of New Zealand where the KM can provide proper escort against additional harrasment.

February 1, 1943 : I. Marine Army HQ has finished unloading in Auckland. With the landing a success, the KM rebases to Auckland so that it can properly protect the transports through the rest of the operation.

February 4, 1943 : A battle is won against NZ defenders in New Plymouth. Also, back in Germany, Kampfgeschwader 201 puts on a grand air show for Hitler and his staff, showing off their brand new Arado Ar-234B Blitz Tactical Bombers. Goering promises his Fuhrer that these are only the beginning of what this new technology offers. Even the foolish Americans could not hope to stand against such weapons, should they be foolish enough to try to stop us. Unbeknownst to Goering and Hitler, the US Congress and their President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, are holding a closed door emergency session at that very moment. The subject of the session: The prospect of War with Germany and Italy.

February 5, 1943 : The day dawns in Europe as the late night, closed door session of the US Congress is finishing. President comes from the great hall of democracy and, with the help of his aides, stands before a podium laden with dozens of microphones. The following words were carried by Radio wave to every major city on Earth.

There are times in history when one people find themselves in control of such powers and peoples that they are able to force their way upon the rest of humanity. When such conditions exist, it is the very nature of Man to abuse this power. The United States of America was founded on the belief that no government on Earth should ever possess such power, for when they do evil inevitably follows. As a result of these convictions, and the actions of the nation of Germany along with her ally Italy, we find ourselves in a position where only one course of action can possibly restore to the people of Earth their freedom. With a heavy heart, therefore, I announce that in an overwhelming vote the Senate and House have passed a Declaration of War against the Axis of Evil. We gladly join the cause of the Allied nations of Australia, New Zealand and Canada in their struggle against this Evil. The Philipines and Liberia have also agreed to join us in this endeavor, adding thier strength to our own. Finally, I wish to call upon all the nations of the Earth to join us in this fight against Tyranny. Only together can we possibly defeat the forces arrayed against us. May God save us all.

Hitler flew into an immediate rage! After nearly an hour of ranting about the arrogant cowboys he finally came to his senses enough to order Ribbentrop to immediately contact the Japanese and ask them once, and only once, to join the war. In exchange, Hitler will launch his own offensive into China as soon as the ice thaws enough to allow his Mountaineers passage through the Himalayas.

An hour later, Ribbentrop came back with a telegram from Tokyo. It stated simply, "Terms accepted." With that, Japan and Manchuria joined the Axis powers. The war had truly spread to the entire World.

Fortunately, Hitler had kept the mountaineers in Africa around Liberia. He ordered them to launch their planned attack on the tiny African nation. They did so and quickly broke through against the Liberian Army.

Here is the division of Axis/Allied territory in Asia at this time.
43feb05.jpg

February 6, 1943 : Japan, not being in position for a grand sneak attack, chose to cancel the operation against Pearl Harbor.

February 7, 1943 : The ongoing New Zealand operation is put into high gear, hoping to complete the operation before the US can send reinforcements. Marines land in Christchurch and New Plymouth.

February 8, 1943 : Seeing that Germany was not prepared for war in China, the Chinese army quickly marched a division into Macao, siezing it for themselves. Also on this day, we defeated the defenders of Wellington.

February 9, 1943 : We won a battle against New Zealand in Napier.

February 10, 1943 : A convoy in the Newfoundland-Gibraltar convoy at Grand Banks lost 6 transports and 0 escorts. It is suspected that the US Navy is already making its presence felt. Naval Bombers are immediately dispatched to the area and spot a number of US submarines operating in the area.

February 11, 1943 : Marines complete the occupation of Wellington and New Zealand is annexed. Now, only Australia remains behind the German front line of defense in the Pacific. Also in Berlin, another airshow takes place. This time Jagdgeschwader 107 shows Hitler thier shiny new Messerschmitt Me-262 Schwalbe Fighters. Goering comments that such high priority is being put on this new technology that some units have not yet even finished receiving the Fw-190D.

February 12, 1943 : Arriving just in time, Infantry units from Malaya defeat a Chinese attack on Hong Kong.

February 15, 1943 : We won a battle against Nationalist China in Macao, retaking it for the Reich. We then negotiate a deal with the Japanese wherein we trade Macao and Hong Kong for southern Indo-China. We also gave them large quantities of technical expertise and resources to help their war effort.

February 18, 1943 : The Luftwaffe annouces that Seeaufklärungsgruppe 127 has been upgraded to Junkers Ju-290. The extra 300km range of these large bombers will help much in the reaches of the Atlantic and Pacific.

February 22, 1943 : As our mountaineers continue to march towards Liberia's capital, they are met by a rude surprise. An American division engages them! The attacking forces rapidly tear through the American defences, as they outnumbered them 12 to 1.

February 24, 1943 : We are attacked by hostile armies of Yunnan in Lashio. In short order we counter-attack and turn back the Yunnan infantry. Also on this day we had a very disturbing discovery. Naval Bombers patrolling the NW coast of Australia spotted what appears to be the primary US Carrier fleet! 6 aircraft carriers, all of which are larger and faster than our light carriers. Fortunately, they are escorted only by light screening vessels. The Naval Bombers begin a long term series of attacks against the US Fleet to try to knock the CVs out before they can find and engage a vulnerable transport fleet. The US Navy clearly has wasted no time taking the war to us. The landing of troops in Liberia and the arrival of the main naval units in Australia took the High Command by surprise. Germany submarines in the area briefly encounter the US fleet, but were unable to close and had to break off and try again later.

February 26, 1943 : The Heer reports that the 12th Marine-Sturm Division has been upgraded to Marines '43. Hitler hopes these will be sufficient to the task of taking Australia out of the war. Also on this day, US Naval Bombers appear over King Sound off Australia's coast. They attack our U-boats to little effect. In a final note for the day, Ribbentrop reports that the Bitter Peace with the USSR, Mongolia and Tannu Tuva expires today. They could choose to re-engage at any time. "Great," sighs Hitler, "just when I thought things couldn't get any worse."

Bombing US Carriers(eventually the USS Lexington is sunk, but the attacking bombers take many losses)
43feb26.jpg

February 27, 1943 : A convoy in the Newfoundland-Gibraltar convoy at Gulf of Morocco lost 0 transports and 1 escorts. Arado's new Tactical Jet Bombers, based in Madrid, are ordered to conduct Naval Attack missions in the area and soon find offending US submarines. The Kriegsmarine has its hands full against these yankee cowboys, they are everywhere!

February 28, 1943 : Liberia are now part of our nation! Also, as the KM and transports leave Wellington to begin loading up for the invasion of Australia, they are greeted by the US Navy in the form of a battle fleet led by 3 old battleships. Fortunately, it was dawn and the weather was good for flying. Our aircraft carriers had a good morning, sinking the USS Augusta(CA), USS New Mexico(BB) and USS Mississippi(BB) before the US Fleet decided to take their remaining BB and run.

CVs vs. BBs
43feb28.jpg

The intensity of the naval action, and the inability of the Heer to apply itself anywhere except Liberia, until the spring thaw, means that Hitler is now taking special reports from Raeder. His last report for February includes the following:
-Total Allied Losses - 18 vessels consisting of 1 CV, 2 BB, 2 CA, 2 CL, 5 DD, 2 SS and 4 TPT. 12 of these are US vessels.
-Losses of Note - Lexington sunk by land based air; New Mexico and Mississippi sunk by CAG.
-Total Axis Losses - 9 vessels consisting of 1 CV, 1 BB, 1 CA, 1 CL, 3 DD, 1 SS and 1 TPT. 7 of these are JAP vessels.
-Losses of Note - Ryujo caught at night and sunk by gunfire from USS Pensacola; Fuso lost in straight up battlefleet engagement by USS West Virginia; Bolzano sunk in gunfight with USS Northampton.

Statistics of note:
-Greatest source of Axis losses is the US Battleships, especially the USS Arizona which has scored 3 kills.
-Greatest source of Allied losses is land based airpower with 10 kills. Note that this means without land based airpower the naval losses would be roughly equal.

Crisisman, this AAR is great. You've convinced me to purchase "Hearts of Iron 2" myself. One of these days this game will come out in the Netherlands, or maybe it already has.

March-May 1943 - The Battle of the Pacific, Part I

March 5, 1943 : We have lost control over Monrovia, for a second time. Troops are once again ordered to reinvade.

March 8, 1943 : We have lost control over Martinique to USA. Something absolutely MUST be done about the rampaging US Navy. With 90 Divisions to throw around at my exposed beaches, and with no idea how far away they can land, this is becoming a real problem. Hitler therefore orders Goering to allocate all Tactical Bomber units to assist the Naval Bomber units in patrolling and targetting allied vessels. All German naval forces are also sent out on Combat Patrols to engage and destroy as many allied vessels as possible. It's a full court press.

March 11, 1943 : KMS Richthofen and KMS Otto Lilienthal are deployed. These two Heavy Advanced CVs are the first of the much improved carriers that will eventually replace the light carriers currently in service.

March 12, 1943 : Marines take in Weipa and land in Freetown from which they immediately attack Monrovia. We won a battle against USA in Blake Plateau, sinking the John Hancock Flotilla(TP), USS Juneau(CL), USS Flint(CL).

March 15, 1943 : We won a battle against USA in Monrovia. We also won battles in Australia at Newcastle and Brisbane.

March 16, 1943 : We won a battle against USA in Cape Byron, sinking USS Boston(CA), 52nd Destroyer Division(DD), USS Canberra(CA), USS Pittsburgh(CA), 65th Destroyer Division(DD), USS Northampton(CA), 64th Destroyer Division(DD). We also took Katherine, Australia.

March 18, 1943 : LXVI. Armeekorps has finished unloading in Darwin.

March 21, 1943 : The offensive on the mainland begins. Phase I is the drive into Yunnan. We quickly won battles in Baoshan, Kangding and Jinghong.

43mar21.jpg

March 25, 1943 : Admiral Doenitz reports the entry into service of the first batch of 30 Type XXI Electric U-boats. These are deployed into the Pacific, where U-boat casualties have been a problem. Hopefully, these new boats will be able to defeat the US Navy's DDs. We won battles against Australia in Geraldton and Perth.

March 26, 1943 : II. Marine Corps has arrived in Sydney.

March 28, 1943 : III. Marine Corps has arrived in Townsville.

March 29, 1943 : We have lost control over Monrovia to USA, for the third time! This time, the Africa corps SRs an infantry corps to the area in the hopes of providing a permanent garrison for this invasion hot-spot. It will take some time before these troops arrive, so the Marines are called on to remove the immediate threat.

April 1, 1943 : We won a battle against Australia in Canberra.

April 3, 1943 : We won battles in Xiaguan and Yushu. We won a battle against USA in Lesser Antilles, sinking USS Nashville(CL), 14th Destroyer Division(DD), USS Baltimore(CA).

April 4, 1943 : Marines landed in Puerto Rico and Martinique.

April 5, 1943 : We won a battle against Yunnan in Xiaguan.

April 6, 1943 : We won a battle against Australia in Adelaide.

April 9, 1943 : We won battles in Kunming and Wenshan.

April 11, 1943 : We won a battle against Australia in Melbourne.

April 13, 1943 : A convoy in the Trinidad-Faro convoy at Sea of Azores South lost 5 transports and 0 escorts. The good news, a convoy attack tells us where to focus our air assets. We soon discover the offenders and begin to attack them. Monrovia is cleared out again, and at long last, Australia is annexed into the Reich! Now, with our rear area cleared, it is on to the Samoas and beyond. We are leaving the Philippines to the Japanese, who are attacking with gusto.

April 17, 1943 : Nationalist China annexed Yunnan to prevent our annexation of Yunnan.

April 19, 1943 : The USA scored a coup against the Japanese today, having launched a secret mission, they assassinated Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto . Admiral Raeder sends a personal letter to the Imperial High Command in regards to the loss of his respected associate.

April 20, 1943 : With the thawing of the Himalayas, troops march into Kashgar and Yushu.

April 21, 1943 : We won battles in Xining and Wenshan. The USA once again slipped into Monrovia. The Infantry Corps had not yet arrived.

April 24, 1943 : The Heer reports the Panzergrenadier Division "SS-Leibst. Adolf Hitler" has been upgraded to Mechanized Infantry '44.

April 25, 1943 : The Luftwaffe reports the introduction of its "pinnacle" fighter type. The fighter that should command the world's skies through the rest of the war. The Go-229. We also drove the US out of Monrovia again today as well as taking Guiyang.

April 26, 1943 : We won a battle against Sinkiang in Urumqi.

April 29, 1943 : We have lost control over Nhulunbuy to USA. Apparently they aren't so ready to give up on Australia. Naval Bombers and U-boats pounced on the area off shore and found the transport group, sending most of it to the bottom.

April 30, 1943 : I. Marine Army HQ has finished unloading in Samoa. Mountaineers arrive in Korla. We also won a battle in Qumul.

May 1, 1943 : We won a battle against Xibei San Ma in Golmud.

May 2, 1943 : We won battles against Nationalist China in Guiyang and Kangding.

May 3, 1943 : We won a battle against Nationalist China in Zunyi. Troops arrive in Aksu.

May 6, 1943 : We won a battle against USA in Colon. Hopefully closing the Canal will disrupt some of the US operations.

May 7, 1943 : XCIV. Armeekorps has arrived in Kashgar.

May 8, 1943 : Japan annexed Philippines! Hitler sends a congratulatory note to Emperor Hirohito on a job well done. Reports of action from the seas around the Philippines show that many bloody battles have been fought, with severe losses to both sides. The Japanese Navy is being bled in a naval war of attrition they cannot hope to win. It is up the the Kreigsmarine to make the US Navy bleed the worst and secure the seas for operations into the Americas. We also removed the US forces from Nhulunbuy today.

May 9, 1943 : Seeaufklärungsgruppe 130 has been upgraded to Junkers Ju-287 EF-140. The entry of these Jet Naval Bombers into service marks the completion of Luftwaffe research for the duration of the conflict. Their remaining project is a secret one relating to super weapons capable of bombing the United States from Europe. We also landed in the Maizel Islands.

May 11, 1943 : XXIX. Armeekorps has arrived in Taklimakan Desert.

May 13, 1943 : Nationalist China annexed Sinkiang in another attempt to prevent us from annexing it first.

May 14, 1943 : We won a battle against Nationalist China in Kaili.

May 15, 1943 : We won a battle against Nationalist China in Liuzhou.

May 16, 1943 : We have lost control over Belize City to USA. Clearly the US Navy isn't out of action yet. We also managed to beat the Nationalist Chinese to the heart of Xibei San Ma and have annexed this area as our own.

May 17, 1943 : We won a battle against Nationalist China in Lanzhou.

May 18, 1943 : We won battles against Nationalist China in Guilin, Ya'an, Huaihua and Shaoyang. The US landed forces in Barbados.

43may18.jpg

May 20, 1943 : XXXV. Armeekorps has arrived in Zigong. Battles were won in Fuling and Wuzhou.

May 26, 1943 : We won battles against USA in Palmyra and Jarvis Island. We are closing on Hawaii from the South West, but lack a base within range of these key islands. We shall have to build a new facility on one of these new islands from which to continue our offensive to drive the US Navy from the Pacific. The Japanese are on the move as well in the Central/North Pacific.

May 27, 1943 : We won a battle against USA in Barbados, reclaiming it for ourselves.

May 28, 1943 : We won a battle against USA in Central Line Islands, sinking USS New Orleans(CA), 44th Destroyer Division(DD), USS Astoria(CA), 12th Destroyer Division(DD), 40th Destroyer Division(DD).

May 29, 1943 : We won the second battle against USA in Central Line Islands, sinking USS San Francisco(CA), 60th Destroyer Division(DD), 7th Destroyer Division(DD), 67th Destroyer Division(DD).

May 30, 1943 : Admiral Raeder's report on the Naval War over the past 3 months(since his previous report) indicates a dramatic upswing in naval action as the Battle of the Pacific reaches epic proportions. In a series of dozens of battles over this period the Axis powers have lost no less than 50 vessels, including another Japanese CV, both a Japanese and an Italian BB, and many, many smaller vessels, including no less than 5 U-boat flottillas and one German DD flotilla. The cost to the allies, however, has been horrendous! The US Navy has lost 3 more aircraft carriers(Saratoga, Ranger, Yorktown) and 5 battleships, including the war-ace USS Arizona and their two newest battleships the South Dakota and Washington. The US, however, has commissioned two new CVs during this same period so that they still have 7 CVs and 10 BBs as well as 100 other vessels. They are bleeding, badly, but they are not out of it yet. The Japanese are down to 2 CV and 4 BB plus 50 other vessels.

The current list of Naval War Aces from all nations includes 13 vessels from 4 nations. In order of number of kills, they are:
Rank - Name - Class - #ofKills - Most Notable Kill
1. KMS Peter Strasser CV 34 HMS Barham(BB)/USS Mississippi(BB)
2. KMS Graff Zeppelin CV 25 USS Baltimore(CA)
3. KMS Clausewitz CV 18 USS New Mexico(BB)
4. KMS Tirpitz BB 18 HMS Argus(CV)/HMS Revenge(BB)
5. RN Andrea Doria BB 14 HMCS Kingston(CA)
6. KMS Bismarck BB 11 Duquesne(CA)
7. KMS Seelowe CV 10 Ocean(BB)
8. KMS Grossdeutschland BB 9 HMAS Brisbane(CL)
9. 35th U-boat flottila SS 9 HMS Diomede(CL)
10. RN Caio Duilio BB 6 DD's & TPT's
11. KMS Rheingold CV 5 HMS Warspite(BB)
12. IJN Hyuga BB 5 USS Pensacola(CA)
13. USS Arizona BB 5 IJN Kinu(CL)

Note that a large number of US vessels have 3 or 4 kills each, but don't quite make the list. We hope to sink them before they get the chance!

do I see that right, the Royal navy sunk a canadian ship?

As far as I can see, there is no Royal Navy ship on that list...

KMS - Germany
IJN - Japan
USS - USA
RN - Italy
HMS - Great Britain
HMAS - Australia
HMNZS - New Zealand
HMCS - Canada

Those are the ones I can remember at the moment, please correct me if I'm wrong, it's good to know (sort of, maybe :p). :)

He was just thinking RN = Royal Navy. I didn't realize the mistake at first glance either, since I had no idea what Italy's navel abbreviation was...

Regia Marina, IIRC, but what it is for the individual ship I can't remember...

Btw, Crisisman, do you think you'll annex the SU completely ever? I personally would never even dream about it, but since you've been annexing every country around so far it felt safe to at least ask. :p
