also i know they use gas a lot in the books so here are some gas researchers i found in another thread
I've dug out my previous post on the technology thread about gas tech teams, and will repost it here since it's more appropriate for this discussion.
tech team- country- description
Fritz Haber - GER - Nobel Prize-winning chemist. Pioneered the manufacture of artificial fertilisers, commercial petroleum distillation, electrolysis, and synthetic raw materials for the production of high explosive. Became head of Germany's gas warfare division, developed the use of chlorine gas and developed tactics for gas use. Very high skill.
Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for the Advancement of Science - GER - developed tear gas and gas shells. Fairly low skill.
Victor Grignat - FRE - another Nobel prizewinner and expert in organic chemistry; developed a method of synthesising the components of TNT. Became head of France's gas warfare division. Moderately high skill.
Major-General C H Foulkes - ENG - head of the British Special Brigade. A practical soldier rather than a scientist; pioneered the use of chlorine and phosgene gas, organised mass production of gas by the Allies, and was the war's leading developer of advanced tactics for the use of gas in combat. High skill, but different specialisations.
Captain W H Livens - ENG - developed the 'Livens Projector' capable of launching a full-scale gas attack on enemy trenches within 15 seconds. Also developed the Allies' first practical flamethrower. Medium skill.
edit- i'll try
