Irakaz,
The game starts at 10:30 pm Eastern Standard TIme. If there is an eight hour difference, that would be 6:30 am for you. Love to have you but I am just trying to avoid confusion over the time.

Just,
Creed is Bohemia, germax is playing Toscana.
actually if it's EST, then London would have a five hour difference

i can cede toscana, ill play aragon instead, to have a spnish duchy :) if thats ok

Which duchy is that? Catalonia?

Yes, it would be the Duchy of Catalonia. I was thinking of maybe going with a Spanish duchy, but I decided to just go with what I have experience with instead. I might be able to get Villamar to join the game in the future, if we don't already have enough people.

Ok, I'll update the roster on Friday, when it's really clear who is playing what. :)

Irakaz, you are certainly welcome if you are able to play. As I understand things, London is eight hours ahead of California; our 1930 therefore translates to your 0330; half past three in the morning. If you can get up at that time, or stay up that late, then we can only salute your dedication by welcoming you to the game. :)

If I remember where Karnten is, it should give me and creed a bit of competition for Germany, and also the Italians a bit for the Adriatic, so that would be fine.

Its an 8 hour difference using PST, I just did it the wrong way round hehe. 1930 start is 0330 in UK time right now. Id still play if I could, at least as cannon fodder, my student days have left me able to get up middle of night and sleep funny times. Its the weekend so Im free anyway.

How is the game being setup anyway? ive only played on LAN.

Alright, I'm going to play Toscana then. It ought to spread things a bit more as well, I didn't particularly care for three people all battling over France - that's too much congestion. This should put a nice spread over Western Europe.

If I understand you correctly, you still want to play? Very good, we salute your ability to stay awake, and welcome the new Duke of Karnten.

Essentially, we all meet up in Valkyrienet at 1925 or so. For tomorrow, it might be good if you could show up a bit beforehand, so we can test that you can indeed join a game, and try to fix your router/firewall/whatever if not.

That brings up a more general issue : Everybody should make sure that they have a 1.05 patch, with the following edit applied : In the file province_conversion_events.txt, find event 9007, and change the line

condition = { type = same_realm }

to read

condition = { type = or
condition = { type = same_realm }
condition = { type = same_ruler }
}

This will repair the broken culture spread.

Had a little trouble getting this right. I have 1.05 but was having difficulty getting the game to work with my edits to the province bit. If someone could email me the correct file that would be a big help. Im pretty useless at coding and what not, but I thought I could at least copy a few lines in :eek:o

If its not a game breaking change then it doesent really matter.

Oh yeah and hopefully be there in just over 5 hours!! Ill be in early to check if I can play over vnet if anyone is around to quickly host a game before the start.

Er, not your fault. :eek:o The place I copied that bit of code from had got it wrong. It needs an additional '}' at the end of it. But just to be sure, I'll post my own file once I get home.

Edit : At any rate, I think that was the problem I discovered. Looking at it, it certainly looks ok. Hum. What was the nature of your trouble?

Guys,
Just wanted to take a minute and say I will not be there tonight. This surgery has kicked my ass so it looks like it will be next week before I join you guys. Good luck and I hope you all have a good session.

Just a warning - my son is ill, so I may be late tonight. Hopefully not, but the possibility is there.

sorry to hear that Ccbasin, i really hope you get better! and also hopping your son gets better justinian :D

Cya in a while, pls remind me, when do we start (because i dont vene know if my time is same as east coast US or Halifax time or blah

Hmm. Actually, my last post about the conversion event was wrong; it seems to work as I had first written. I put my current file here so you can download it; it runs without crashing for me, at least. :)

Who is able to host, anyways? I can give it a try, but I have no idea if my connection (or computer, if that's the problem) will cooperate.

yep, you're right on time. Come to vnet.

Well, that was a bit of a disaster. Thanks to everyone who showed for being so patient, especially Irakaz who was up in the middle of the night, and let's hope the Internets are more cooperative next week. For those who have EU2, I suggest that subbing a Saturday or Sunday game might be a good way to test the connection. :)

Sterk, creed, Cyrus, while you didn't exactly miss anything, since we had major hosting problems, where were you? A bit of warning would be a good thing.
