Well, I was a bit busy over the last week, what with work, kids, general life stuff and finishing off the main narrative for the Zenak, so I didn't read as widely as I had hoped.

But there was one AAR that caught my eye and gripped me. It's another Stellaris story, and one from a prolific writer.

What we have is a character driven story, with a heist and a desperate race to cross the galaxy as the empire crumbles around them. The crew are divided and some of them face an uncertain future if they do make it home.

Grand Theft Stellaris - by @Macavity116

Still in progress, and I can't wait to see it unfold.

Belated congrats to @danivon and well done to @Macavity116 ! I am, again, a little behind. I blame RL (really!). But it is a captivating story. :)

I think that's the first time I've been called prolific. I got goosebumps.

Thanks for reading! Merging a gameplay-driven story with my narrative style has been one heckuva challenge
.
I will not complain about stellar incest as I found a new work to read.
It's alright. I'm sure @El Pip already has a finger on the trigger, ready to act if I try to pass the awAARd to another Stellaris story, as I am known to do consistently and without exception. ;)

Thanks for reading! No worries about falling behind. The story isn't going anywhere. RL, however, always seems to have other plans.

I was impressed you managed to rig it so the person you gave the award to handed it straight back the next week. Even by Stellaris incest standards that was quite the feat! ;)

In any event, delayed congratulations to @danivon and on time congratulations to @Macavity116 .

Oops.

Many thanks to @El Pip, @danivon, and @coz1

I think I found an appropriate successor for the next Weekly AAR Showcase. @Idhrendur has been leading the Byzantine Empire on a meteoric rise to power in a megacampaign that has outlived my own account on these very forums.

@Idhrendur has shown some incredible dedication to keep this series running for such a long time across not one, but FOUR Paradox games! This fact alone makes it a downright crime The Empire Strikes Back has never won the Weekly AAR Showcase before.

Now I do need to be specific here, because @Idhrendur's megacampaign currently consists of four AAR's with the same name, one for each game. (CK2, EU3, Vic2, and HOI4)

I would like to nominate the currently ongoing HOI4 version of The Empire Strikes Back by @Idhrendur for the Weekly AAR Showcase!

Thank you all! And as TBC has mentioned in the previous comment, this is an interactive AAR, and just kicking off! Please consider joining this phase with a new character! I've provided a summary of the former history early on to try to ease people into things, so you don't have to read a hundred previous updates to get going.

I'll of course be back at the end of the week with a new AAR to showcase. It's the perfect excuse to get caught up again on my AAR reads. I'll even be taking notes!
