Congratulations!

For this week's nomination, I was quite conflicted. Should I nominate something other than Stellaris? We've had so many Stellaris AARs lately. But those are basically the only ones I read, and the ones from other games I've read have all been awarded stuff!

I trawled through AAR after AAR, feverishly searching for something that sparked joy in my dead heart--but as always, it was only the future that could bring me what I wanted, nay, craved!

And so it is with a heavy but happy heart that I nominate First Steps Among the Stars, a @Zeogludon piece. Without screenshots and a hundred years before the normal start date for Stellaris, our calmly matter-of-fact guide leads us through the turbulent 2100s, crafting a political drama that sets genteel extremists against one another in a conflict for the very fate of Earth!

It's worth a read. ;)

Thank you so much @react0rman! I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much; hopefully others will to

Congratulations @Zeogludon :) Although I don’t play Stellaris and don’t generally follow its AARs, it sounds like an interesting concept you have come up with.

Being rule bound and generally inflexible, I started out with the intention of delivering the weekly award to an AAR besides Stellaris, giving our community a chance to explore the wealth of fascinating and entertaining writing on each of the Paradox games. However, I was torn because in my heart I knew that I had seen real talent and brilliance in AAR writing in a Stellaris forum and could not ignore it.

To those tired of Stellaris I apologize, but sometimes you read something that you cannot help but acknowledge and applaud. I would like to present this week's AAR showcase to @eoncommander for 'Superior Arguments'.

This game takes us, in great detail, through the early development of an alien society and into its encounters with an unfriendly universe. As someone who normally sits in the God Emperor's corner on discussions of 'xeno scum', I would like to celebrate @eoncommander for managing to make these aliens understandable, relatable to, and yet fundamentally different from humans in thought and action. I would definitely recommend checking it out, even for my fellow human supremacists.

Congratulations @eoncommander

And @Zeogludon don't worry, everyone knows these awards are only for CK2 and Stellaris AARs (and HOI AARs but only if they are Kaisereich *spit*). ;)

Very many congratulations
