It is interesting and a good challenge, rise from humble beginning to a power to be reckoned with.

I always prefered playing counts in CK1, and creating my own duchy and eventually a kingdom

Salerno was my favorite. Being all buddy with old Bohemond, hoping stay alive long enough to first take over Napoli and become a duke and then kick the muslims out of Sicily so you can grow powerful enough to challenge Hautevilles for control and become King of Sicily.

Oda, if possible.

Edit:
Apparently it is. :)

Call me baka-dono then.

Date. Pretty much any any any fictional representation of Masamune is amazingly awesome, and the actual history is pretty cool too.

Probably try out the Takeda as well, not sure who in particular.

I was going to go with Nobunaga Oda (My first choice in any Sengoku-era game) but seeing as though he doesn't seem to be there I'll probably just go for the Shimazu or the Chosokabe and work my way up from there.

Gah, I just realised that the Sengoku start-date is in the 15th century, not the 16th, of course Nobunaga wouldn't be there! Colour me stupid.

agreed! i always like to start small.

quick question. in playing the demo i noticed there is daimyo's and another title I couldn't remember. started with an A. doh. Im at work now. anyways, curious if that title was one step below daimyo like a count was in CK.

That would be kokujin. Any landed char is a kokujin, some have daimyo title, that allows them to have vassals and get extra honour. I'm not sure what the “a” title is.

yes! thank you. it is the kokujin. not sure where the A came from. lol.

so can we play as a kokujin? or is the smallest we can start is having a daimyo title?
