How will the markets work for colonial posessions? Would Goa remain in whichever Indian market it started in, or would it become part of the Lisbon market? And if it stays a part of its original market, what implications would that have?
indian.. there is no way that portugal can ever propagate market power that far..

It gives portugal a lot of nice access to the indian market its in, and can built up a lot of merchant power so you can make sure you can export indian goods ahead of others attempting to trade.

Can embargoes only be enacted by the owner of the market center?

No.

Embargo also blocks merchants travelling through your country. This can make trades much more expensive in capacity required, and maintenance paid.

Will Project Caesar have the old functionality of EU4, Vic2, etc where you could hit like F10 or F12 or w/e it was to print a screenshot of the whole world map? That was an amazing feature that I miss in the newer games

Is there a way for the player to route the trade. E.g. if I play as England and want London to prosper, can I force outgoing and incoming trade to depart/arrive through London, or will it always arrive through the centre of trade or alternatively the shortest route?

Always shortest route

so as France i just conquer London location, after that i embargo England and they collapse?

no. you can always trade if its your capitals market location.

I am also curious about the meaning of the stars inside the market centers. Likely the importance of that center compared to others, but I might be missing something

the stars inside market centers I got no clue about what they are, gotta ask @SaintDaveUK but he is away right now.

The star means it's a capital of an independent country.

Needless to say, mapmodes and icons at this stage are WIP WIP WIP :)

I wouldn't want a total change or differentiation. Just a slight variation in shade between sea and land.

It's not a gamebreaker, but it would just be nice to better see the geography of the world at a glance—in particular the important trade seas.

We already use shade for market access.

How dynamic are the sound tolls? Can I put one on the strait of Malacca? I feel like that specific spot has never really been as OP in a Paradox game as in real life, especially during this period

How do you create a new market? What does it costs? A market can be created inside the land of another market?

currently it costs 1000 gold, but nothing is set in stone yet.. all values are placeholders as we test.

it can be done in any town or city you own.

So you're confirming that there is absolutely nothing hardcoded (not even remotely) to prevent an american nation from making trade flow "in reverse" from Europe to the Americas?

no

Do pops have wealth level like in Vicky 3? That is if they have 10% higher income, then their wealth level goes up by 1 and consume goods in slightly different amounts.

no

1. Does Infrastructure (Roads/Ports) impact trade efficiency? So if I want to trade as Spain with France a lot (Higher Volumes because i loke them), and build a strong road network to france. Will it help make the trade more effective?
