Did you guys remove the rise of Islam option or do I have an older version? It says I’m up to date
Yes, use the converter with Fallen Eagle if you want Rise of Islam.

there are probably some people already working on it, I’ve seen a lot of people ask for compatibility on the eu4 converter forum
Many people do the talk but few actually do the work, so I wouldn't be so sure :p
I am interested, there are probably some people already working on it, I’ve seen a lot of people ask for compatibility on the eu4 converter forum. Is there a tutorial on how to do it?
Best to ask on the CK3ToEU4 thread:

Hello, I tried converting a save from Invictus to TFE but I can't get it to work, it crashes when I click "Play as any character"/my character and I don't know which error is fatal. When converting to vanilla CK3 it works (Except the Assyrian culture becomes Syriac? Don't know if it's normal), just not with TFE.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I suspect it has something to do with the date, when I use 1230(477 AD) save games will crash, while using 768(15AD) will not。

I will investigate the problem, thanks.

A few things about Dynamic Empires...

Firstly... This. I'm mainly focusing on the Iranian empire, which owns Russia, Lithuania, and Eastern lands, all which are disconnected. However, you can also see some things like the Mongol pocket on the edge of the map. China, the Anatolian Empire, which is disconnected, the Berber Empire, which owns the Caucasians and central Anatolia. The north Germanic empire also owns some land in Hungary as well as Silesia. There are more issues, but I won't point them all out.

Maurya owns some of Dravida, Persia, a small pocket in Bangladesh, and a small coastal territory in Burma. Also, there is the Qianic empire between Tibet and China.

Arabia is... Messed up. There is some of Parthia (Arascid), and the Arabian Empire, as well as a distinct Arabic Empire.

Iberia is messed up as well. The Iberian empire barely owns a duchy, the Gaulish empire owns much of it, and the Aboriginals migrated from Australia to Iberia.

Overall, the entire map is kinda cursed, with some Empires holding the equivalent of Duchies, some empires owning much more land than in base game (I'm looking at you, Berber Empire), Some empires not even being contiguous, and some having weird names.

Now, I do have some ideas for conversion. Rename empires to either the main power in the Classical or Medieval Era, or whatever major power united it. Set up separate empires for Carthage and Egypt, force some empires with too much land to split into more realistic lands, force the generator to remove enclaves of empires to be merged with nearby ones, and merge some areas with border gore such as, in my game, Anatolia or Iberia. Convert nations into empires if they have at least around 300 territories in Imperator, and if they have less, don't convert them as empires and split them between nearby empires, unless they just share the name. In some regions not in the scope of Imperator, just default to base game Empires.

There is also an issue with Kingdoms being disconnected, but it's not as pressing, and also some Kingdoms, and even Empires, are the size of duchies, and some Empires are the size of Kingdoms.

The de jure empire setup is based on kingdoms' dominant cultures, so it varies greatly between conversions. I do intend to tweak the empire setup generation at some point to reduce border gore, but it will remain strictly dynamic, so no special rules for Egypt or Carthage.

Will dynamic naming also be used, since some names are odd such as the aboriginal empire, or horn African empire?

The empire names are dynamic and based on heritage adjectives. Aboriginal Empire is for cultures with converter-added Aboriginal heritage (Iberian and Nuragic), same for Horn African which is a vanilla heritage.

Yes, I understand it is based off of heritage currently, but for example, when Mali was united by Sundiata Keita, it wasn't called "Sahellian Empire", or "Guinean Uplander Empire", it was called Mandé, or Mali in English. I guess my real question was, will the converter change so empires are named dynamically based on major powers in the region as opposed to heritage?

Unlikely, because the major powers are not guaranteed to control the majority of the counties that share their heritage. Also, if they are really major, they are converted to empire-level titles and given their own de jure land.

How large is large enough? In the pictures I showed, the game I converted from had Egypt as a great power, with around 550 territories.
