Ooops. Oh well. No real harm done.I had put too much biologically inert greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere of Moby... distracted by the war... and nearly roasted everybody.
Almost fixed now.

Yeah, there was thousands of Infrastructure there anyway, because the planet used to be way too cold (that's why I was adding greenhouse gasses).Ooops. Oh well. No real harm done.
That's good.Yeah, there was thousands of Infrastructure there anyway, because the planet used to be way too cold (that's why I was adding greenhouse gasses).
... so nobody died.
Curious why it gave differing amounts of rp per engine.so we can start dismantling those engines.
I thought jt was rhe one offloading the last rp needed for the plant tech. The modern salvager is only a month away from Earth, carrying enough xeno-tech missile launchers (recovered from wrecks) to finish the Reload Rate tech.
That's good.
Will we be moving the infra away? - The Infrastructure gets sent wherever it's needed, yes.
Curious why it gave differing amounts of rp per engine. - There's a random element included in most tech- or combat-related stuff. Since the parts are recovered from wrecks, you can look at it as some of the components being more complete or more intact than others, so we learn more from those ones.
I thought jt was rhe one offloading the last rp needed for the plant tech. - Not sure what you mean. Three salvagers were all on their way back to Earth. Each one carries tech data and a random assortment of parts for analysis... whatever that particular salvager managed to find in the wrecks. They download the big lumps of Tech Points as soon as they jump into the Sol star system, but they can't unload the components until they dock at Earth.
Gonna need a MODRONWOOD sign! Also, how can we get their tech filmmaking their pops, then?
Meant from taking, not filmmaking.Another classic Wagonlitz typo!
Gonna need a MODRONWOOD sign!
Edit: what kinda movies will they specialize in? Space Godzilla? Noir? Something new?

Yeah, but it’s a great typo, Wagon! It’s more fun to roll with these, play with them, than to correct them. Bit like playing with puns, d’y’see? Make amusing connections that aren’t intended but are playful or funny.Meant from taking, not filmmaking.
Weeks ago, one of our Scrapyard II (the old model) jumped into the Sol system, unloaded its data by radio, flew to Earth and unloaded its components. Instead of breaking them down immediately, I saved them because we were close to gaining a tech.Meant I thought scrapyard III 001 had already uploaded the data, but seems it was scrapyard 001 that did it earlier. Just checked.
Perhaps we dhludpjg have two habe the same numbering, even if one is a basic one and the other the version III.
We might be able to pay a large fraction of the cost of the war, by turning it into a war movie.Gonna need a MODRONWOOD sign!
Edit: what kinda movies will they specialize in? Space Godzilla? Noir? Something new?
None. They'll be xenoburgers. What kind of movies do you imagine the (defeated) Modrons might make?
Yeah, I got that now.Weeks ago, one of our Scrapyard II (the old model) jumped into the Sol system, unloaded its data by radio, flew to Earth and unloaded its components. Instead of breaking them down immediately, I saved them because we were close to gaining a tech.
Then our new Scrapyard III jumped into the Sol syatem, beamed down its data (Gaining us the tech!) and started heading toward Earth. It will get here in about four weeks. But in the mean-time I now dismantled the components that had arrived weeks ago on the Salvager II (not on the Salvager III that just beamed us the tech info).
Bottom line:
On that screen-shot you see a bunch of tech points for lots of different things. Only the two BIG lumps up at the top of the list are from the Salvager III. Everything else is from breakdown of ship components that had arrived weeks earlier, on an older Salvager or from dismantling captured-and-repaired enemy ships.
The hull number is the two-letter, two-number code.Yeah, I got that now.
What initially tricked me was both had the hulll number 001.
Ah. Thought it was the 001.The hull number is the two-letter, two-number code.
SV-03 for our new Scavenger III 001, which is our third Scavenger. We built two of the earlier model, and now this one.
TG-27 for our 27th Tug. and so on.
These number ARE unique. There is only one SV-03. Only one TG-27.
