VEGETARIAN SIMULATOR CONFIRMED

Since it's not EU: Rome 2, I reckon it'll be Victoria: Rome instead. POPs, religion, city-creation/colonisation - it all fits, and I can look forward to creating a string of Stevehelevenopolis' throughout Asia and North Africa! Senators, I demand a Triumph! :D

Or... maybe not. ;)

P.S. I love the "Who is this Fredrik II guy anyway?" question! :p

There will be no stabbing of pigs.

I hope to see you all in Cologne!

...Or it's the Victoria II spin-off "Victoria: Nonviolent Revolution", where you play as an anarchist leader who has to lead rally's for different kind of political reforms, while making sure his followers won't commit acts of violence against the police.

The idea of it being a Rome 2 but not called Rome 2, so everything about Rome but not, makes no sense, why would they abandon their brand.

If majority of mechanics were changed or/and timeline was extended so the focus was no more only on Roman Republic, it would no longer be EU: Rome.

that this is not EU: Rome 2 is clear from the first hint. This is a brand new IP which overshadows EU: Rome in scope.

The only game series that use the stability mechanic is Europa Universalis so a new grand strategy game would probably not have such stability mechanics. Given the hints strong connection to Rome I would say it is likely the game have something to do about Rome.

The two past hints have both pointed to a game set before Crusader Kings II, I would say with about 95% surety that this will be a grand strategy game set in classical/dark age time and Rome will be in the game.

Haven't read the thread but if this isn't rubbing it in, I don't know what is.

I've wanted a Rome game so bad. So bad. I mean we all know this isn't Rome II, but this is just..

:(

This reminds me of CA's tease for Shogun II: an image of a Greek helmet with tissue paper stuffed in it. Essentially a big middle finger to all Rome fanboys.

Sigh.

What do you guys have against sci-fi/fantasy? They are genres, there are bad works and good works in them. It's like "please no western movies": not even The Stagecoach, then?
Because they are done constantly by other game studios, Paradox Interactive is special because it does Grand Strategy in a way nobody does.

Migration Era is comming more and more closer...

I would be surprised if it is a fantasy game, considering this started in production the same time as Runemaster. It could though be fantasy setting using the CK2 format. I do hope it is not sci-fi or set in space.

No killing of Julius then or anyone else in Southern Europe. As someone else alluded to PIGS refers to these southern EU countries.
